  • If you know of any fitters willing to install and supply all materials for less than £80 please send them my way. I have a few box sash casement replacements in rosewood and white ash ready for them.
  • H there, how kind of you to offer all this advice.
I have a question not so much related to price although I would need that as well but before we talk £££ I would like to know if I could get upvc in charcoal grey on the outside and white on the inside?
I am dreading it as all of the windows on our new 5 bed house need replacing :(
    Thank you
  • Anthracite grey is probably what you're after, and yes you can have it with white on the inside
  • Thank you DHframes are these readily available or specialist only?
  • 99% of UPVC window suppliers will offer grey on white, the windows will have to be made to suit your openings. Get some local Fensa/Certass registered companies round to quote, not your big national companies, ask to see installations they've completed in your area. No point paying for nice new energy rated windows if they're installed/ finished of badly.
  • Hi DH Frames, as it happens I have a job starting tomorrow which is exactly that with 8 window replacements and 2 doors i'll get the before and after photos up if you like. Our fitting charge is £940 based on £80 a window and £150 a door, lets say materials come to £140 (you know they won't be anywhere near that) that gives the fitters £400 each for 2 days work which as far as i'm concerned is a very good income.
  • Hi Passion flower, We supply light grey, dark grey, Basalt, grained anthracite and matt anthracite all on white so i'm sure the majority of companies out there can supply exactly what you need. As DH said make sure you get a good few quotes in and if you mention when you first speak to them you are after grey on white they should be able to bring some samples to show you.
  • One more thing DH i'm actually located in Bristol if you would like to have a chat :)
  • Regardless of where you're based it's still not possible to give an accurate price without knowing what's involved/required on each job. Possible on supply only yes, not possible on supply and fit!
  • But hello to you my fellow Bristolian
