My fell changed massively from 5 to 8 he matured loads and went much deeper and broader, luckily I waited to buy his 'proper' saddle as I new this was going to happen.

Keeping fingers and hooves crossed she doesnt change too much. I do need a saddle now to start working her as she is now 4 1/2 so need to do something regularly. The saddle I have will fit her fine now, will keep monitoring and watch this space. Saddler wants to come out in 3 months to check and then again in a year. Least got something to start her off with :)

    Good morning :)

So checked my Sains CC, the oven door payment has finally landed, also my spends from last week which was going to take out of the budget next month. Have decided to just take out of my ISA and get back to 0, the statement was online and estimated interest was £3, so hopefully paying today means 0 interest charged, will keep an eye on it. I am still due a refund of £24.99 from the item I returned this week, will check for that too so can then get my money back.

My ISA now stands at £450 which isnt great but still have something there. I also have 13p in my rental fund (interest so mine), £2.17 in insurance fund, £21.09 in my hoss fund and £8.58 in fun savings.

So in theory I should put back £75 from my hoss food budget into my ISA, also £50 from chimney sweep back, but I am going to try and leave this in my current a/c to reduce my overdraft, another work in progress, or plan B use to put towards my dentist fund.

So my dentist is £475, going to try and get together as much as I can over the next few weeks, last appointment is 8 October so I have 22 days including today and the 8th to get this together. I am going to start with the £8.58 as this is not allocated anywhere and go from there. Probably an impossible target, at the moment need all of my ISA plus the £8 plus another £20 on top of that to to pay the bill which would wipe out all of my savings but will see how I go.

If I use the budgeted amounts next month for hoss food and chimney sweep that gives me £125 so probably best to use this as would mean at least a little bit left in my ISA.

Next month will also have £24.99 in theory if refund hits so can use that towards general spends, fuel or something so should be another £25 saving there.

I have £100 a month budget for food/household bits each month. Next month I am going to really try and spend hardly any of it. Will need a fresh top up of bits in next few days but have a £10 gift card so that will cover that.

I have loads of food in my freezer just need to be good and see how well I can stretch it.

I do need to do something, with all these big expenses money is running away with me and my emergency fund will be at 0, have 0 savings and nothing saved up to pay of my debt come the end of the 0% period.

Also still have to pay saddler this weekend which will be £100.

To end on a positive note if I can sell my saddle will be £100 odd better off, should be £200 but £100 will go to saddler. A couple of ebay items have bids on, few survey sites near payout levels, and next month is last sofa month, all small things but hopefully will add up soon :)

    Good morning, its friday :D

So was good yesterday and did something pro-active to help reduce my debt, spent the evening listing more bits on ebay, its terribly boring but its 100 free listing for a few days and it brings in the pennies. No bids on new items yet but once its on there can keep re-listing until it sells, fingers crossed for some more sales :)

Need to get money out today for my chimney sweep tomorrow but that is all budgeted so ok.

    Good morning :)

Good weekend, chimney sweep been so all set up for winter :) Went and collected my saddle, got no excuse not to ride now, must get going. £120 for saddle, not to bad price considering work done and 2 visits. Went and got a hamster and bought some pet food for sister at the same time so £14 spent. New hamster is fab, my nephew has named her "Speedo". Still wee bit shy at the moment but hopefully will settle down soon. Finished my day of and got a takeaway, no excuse really but couldnt be bothered to cook, spent loose change in purse.

Sunday was better, didnt spend a penny, took advantage of a sunny day and weeded both my front and back garden, aching today. Did some surveys and ebay. Still didnt sort my old saddle out though, tut tut, I will do that this week!

So my credit card stands at £120, will take out of ISA to pay off, means will have £330 in my ISA left. Need £475 to pay for dentist so am £145 short.

My overdraft is £10 from the limit, not great but hey ho, pay day this week. Need to spend today for fresh bits but have giftcard from survey site so technically free :)

Small ebay sales over the weekend, 2 have paid so sent to dentist savings, now at £13.97 should be another £10 or so still to come, so a small way to the £145 shortfall. If I sell my saddle will cover the shortfall and a bit more.

Am gutted have wiped out my emergency savings within a few days but at least I had the money there and am no further into debt.

Once the dentist is paid for will put all "extras" back into savings to try and build up a lump sum to get the Bcard paid off.

The minimum payment has gone out today, another £100 of the debt, it stands at £4338 so a massive target to reach, but we can only try.

Also got the big bills to save up for next year as well, will keep trying and see how I go, will get there somehow.

From when I started this diary around a year ago the debt has gone up, due to parents loan, but the amount for ex has gone down so evens up that, but overall the debt has shown a steady downward trend, have managed to save and pay for lots of big bills and general expenses without adding to debt so definite progress has been made :)

Still a long way to go but its all heading in the right direction, just a long haul!

    Good morning :)

Horrible rainy day today, first day for a rug for the hoss, a lightweight pac a mac just to keep her dry. Its a wee bit tight, think I do need to replace this one this year, will check the other rugs shortly. Will sell what doesnt fit to help re-coup any costs.

My refund of £25 landed on my cc, so only £95 to pay instead of £120, taken out of ISA and back to 0.

ISA now stands at £355, dentist is £475 so £120 short, have the £20 saved up so £100 to find. If I use the hoss food and chimney sweep budget which is £125 have all with a few pounds to spare. At least that is covered.

Now just to carry on saving to pay of my Bcard.

    Good morning :)

Dentist this morning for temporary crown and impressions, back in 2 weeks for permanent crown. Had to pay today £475!! Have emptied all my savings accounts plus borrowed some from my rental fund deposit and paid this of today so all square. :)

Been analysing all money needed soon, seems the story of my life at the moment  but have come up with some rough figures.

So at the moment all savings accounts are at 0.

These are my new goals as of today:-

    1. To pay back shortfall from rental deposit - £82.16
    2. To pay of my barclaycard before 0% deal ends - £3888
    2. To get together insurance fund for next year - £1653
    3. To get back another emergency fund - £1000
    4. To go on holiday for my birthday in March - £500
    5. To pay of my overdraft - £800

    So total is £7.923.16

    Notes on above:-

Yes there are 2 number 2's but once number 1 is completed will do half and half to each fund.

Barclaycard it currently stands at £4338, have taken rough guess of minimum payments that will come of automatically between now and end of 0% period - £3888 is whats left.

Insurance fund consists of: £250 car insurance (feb), car tax £110 (end jan), MOT £55 (feb), service £250 (feb), cambelt replacement £500 (feb), Building/contents £185 (june), annual vet £150 (april) and life insurance £153 (aug).
So in theory have until august to save up some of this but be good to get as much done as possible asap.

I would love to go on holiday for my birthday, even if its just a long weekend, as I had to cancel all plans would be great to do it, but must save up the other funds first ideally.

Emergency and overdraft goals speak for themselves.

So just under £8k to find, not small amounts then

    How to get there:-

Should be able to do rental shortfall easy this month, I have £75 and £50 in budget for horse food and chimney sweep not needed.

I may need to buy another rug for the hoss but going to see what I can sell to make this money up.

Still need to sell my saddle :o

My parents will give me £200 ish towards my car insurance next year, is for my birthday. Have 2 months free of council tax and water so thats another £300 ish.

My sofa last payment comes out in next few weeks so thats another £30 to play with :)

Plus all my normal ebaying, surveying, sticking to better budgets. Will see how I go :) Pay day tomorrow so a new month fresh.
