    :hello: Hi all xxx

    (Left again)

Blimey!! What a night this has been. I have a 'second' job where I have the duty phone for another organisation and normally it never rings; well tonight I took a call on it at 6.30 and the ceiling had fallen in on a tenant . The call was from his friend who had been there had called an ambulance for him and filled me in. I had to call the Housing Association and get them to come and look at it, call the hospital, fill the manager in on what had happened and sort out picking up keys for the property, going there and seeing what had happened and arrange the repairman getting the keys (he was coming from Leicester). I had to get him to meet me at where I normally work for them and drop them back to me there. Couldn't believe it that I managed to get everything done before 8.30 and while I was sat in my car outside work on the phone to the hospital he pulled up to get the keys so I even got into proper work on time :D The poor chap is in quite a bad way as he has an eye injury but I will know more about it in the morning.

Meanwhile at normal work I have been mostly having to throw drunks out tonight :rotfl:. Still last shift tomorrow and then I'm off till November :D. The retreat and a trip to mum's will be wonderful rests :)

Meanwhile.................I have not spent anything so am up to number 12 :j

    :hello:

Well done on resisting the coffee shop. ;)

You've done it now! I'd better make myself a sachet of skinny mocha before I feel the lure of the coffee shop.... :o

I don't know if you bought a coffee every day of the week, but you could maybe allow yourself a coffee once a week, say?

Sometimes if you deny yourself something that you enjoy completely,it's more difficult to keep to the straight and narrow.

If you know that your Friday coffee treat is approaching,it could keep you happy without breaking the bank.

Thanks for your encouragement Marmite. :) My problem isn't a coffee everyday. OH and I used to go twice a week, take work with us and spend a long time there - could cost £25 a week! We've now decided to go once a week instead and try to spend less whilst we're there. Of course there will be exceptions to this eg holiday times and birthday treats. On the plus side - we get a lot of points so have "free" visits and we get lots of work done so it lowers stress levels! We hardly drink alcohol so this does count as our main entertainment/socialising. It's not a dire situation but it's the main area we need to cut back on! (Have reduced/cut out eating out and takeaways easily).

Typed whilst drinking 25p skinny mocha from a sachet... ;)
