Evening, playing catch up here. Well I did count thurs as a spend as much as it irked me. Friday was nsd #8 but I'm not celebrating as I went shopping yesterday, and spent far too much. Was in a bit of a bad mood so ended up cross shopping which isn't really like me. Need to try some things on again and work out what's going back. It's partly because I'm fed up with my wardrobe right now, fed up of watching the pennies and being called tight and fed up of being in debt. Although the end of our journey is in sight I think about what we could have done with all that money, and wonder (reading some others stories) whether paying it all back was the right thing. Well, I know morally it was, but so many people seem to get reduced settlements etc sometimes it just doesn't seem fair.
Anyway, chin up. Was up early for a run today, then spent about 5hrs in the garden, was such a glorious day. Lawn mowed and raked. Tomato plants pulled up and container emptied, dug up a load of ivy (upsetting a lizard, a zillion worms and a frog in the process. Moved one of the ivy plants and then planted in three heathers I got from lidl the other week for 75p each. Found they'd been sitting in water (thought the tray they were in had holes in it) but hopefully they'll be ok and be happier now they are in the ground.
Also scrubbed the patio, at which point I found I had a split in my wellies (also found you have to be careful with autocorrect on that one) so broke my NSD I was hoping for today ordering a new pair. Got a pair of Joules in their outlet section for £25, plus a free delivery code, plus cashback. So not an entirely frivolous spend. Figured I need new wellies, I liked those, they were a good deal and have free returns so may as well order them.
HAVE to get back on the wagon tomorrow else I really will be looking to my pole skillsFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm sorry not to have been around much today.I've updated the front page.
butterfly2507 well done on reaching target!! :j:j
Igor would like to know whether you would like your celebratory breakfast (oh no,manky kipper alert!!) at 4h 30 am or at 10 am.He can't do it at any other time inbetween,as he's just managed to borrow a mangle to do the washing, and only has for those few short hours to clean his longjohns and lederhosen.
I've decided that we should be rewarded for taking up the nsd challenge, even if we don't always make our target. This means that we are going to have a'consolation prize...:D :money:
What shall it be though?
Does anyone remember 'The Record Breakers' ?I think that was the title, and they had consolation prizes of a pencil set...I'm sure that we can do better...Igor is suggesting a small flask of turnip and passion fruit vodka....his latest triumph! He tried it on Hubert, who is still comatose, poor thing. :eek:0 -
