Hello Everyone,
Just a very quick hello as my life if still nightmarishly manic.
My 3 big uns have gone to Cornwall with their grandparents for a week. DH is sulking because he's not gone too!
I'm staying home with the little ones as it's a surfing holiday and Atlantic rollers don't really fit the bill for paddling.
Enjoy the summer holidays - no school for 6 weeks0 -
Evening all!
just made it home, our town is flooded yet again! had to leave the car in town and walk home.
Still pouring here!
Havent read the thread or finished yeaterdays as I've worked 23 hours since yesterday morning!but I'm off to catch up in a minute! I hope you're all ok and not flooded out.
catch you later xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Evening everybody :hello:
Haven't managed to get on here until now
Well I went out with my little brother last night, he and his flatmate found a flat that was perfect for them but they are going to lose out on it because his flatmate doesn't want to move yet (he doesn't really have enough cash for the summer and wants to bum around till the graduate job starts  ) Anyway I hope they find something else in the same area - it would be dead handy for me to visit
I am feeling grateful today that I have my brother. I've just found out that my mum's best friend's son was killed last week in a road accident. I hadn't seen him since he was little, but I remember going to Sunday School with his sisters
Glad that awful rain earlier didn't last. It's a lovely day nowand I'm sitting at home with the windows open, listening to this evening's Prom concert on the radio
I considered going to the concert (I have a season ticket so can go to as many as I want
) but fancied an evening in. Glad I did actually - I'd have had to battle the Harry Potter crowds on the way back (JKR is doing a live reading at the Natural History Museum which would have been right on my way home  ) - I'll pick mine up tomorrow morning from Asda/Morrison's (if I get it tonight I won't get any sleep
:j :j

been back to look at the flood water and the whole town is under water! a very kind man in a canoe went and moved DH's van from where he'd had to leave it on to higher ground, we're really grateful to him,:T not sure how long it'll be before we can go back for it! all the shops are flooded up to waist height at least as well as loads of houses, am keeping my fingers crossed again for my Mums house which is near the river, don't think she'll get much sleep somehow! It was on TV earlier.
Hope everyone else is ok.
Take care xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good evening all :hello:

I managed to get a feather head band for the wedding tomorrow and a bag to go with my shoes. Got my hair dyed back to its natural colour today -this is going to take some getting used to. I had it dried straight too ( my hair is naturally [strike]frizzy[/strike] curly ) DD said it makes me look youngerwhat is she after ?
DD & DDog are at my Mum & Dads tonight so I have the house all to myself. I have to get up early tomorrow for the wedding - I hope the rain doesnt ruin the photos. My Mum has hand made a lovely card for me to give the vouchers in.
After all of your reccomendations I bought the Jodi Piquot book My Sisters Keeper today so cant wait to get into that. Im still 1 book behind on Harry Potter but with my holidays coming up Im sure I will get caught up
