    Morning Everyone

Super tired today. I was on the phone until late last night, as a friend I haven't spoken to for months called. Mixed feelings over the split today, was coping really well yesterday, but slipped again today. Guess it'll take time

Going to help my friend with her finances this evening, so that's giving me something to do.

Got a phone call from the bank yesterday - they want to see me to discuss making the most of my accounts.

Seen a job I'm going to apply for. It's based somewhere I used to freelance, so I'm hoping that might go in my favour.

Plans for after work is getting some extra sleep before going out!

    Hope everyone's ok

    Good morning everyone!

N9eav - if you catch anything you'll have to share it with us!

Hester, you have raised a lovely daughter, give her a hug from me!

Aime, your hedgie sounds so cute!

Well, not much happening here, as usual. THo I do have an appointment at the norwich Bupa hossie next week for a consultant to look at my foot.

DH is going to dig out our potatoes now; then he's off ot have a shower, brekkie and leave. We had a talk last night and he thought he had to come home by 5 to feed me; I told he didn't. But we will be more organized with dinners than we have been.

Hope everyone has a great day; got a bit more done on my cross stitch, and a few more Buffy DVD s to watch!

morning all, ooo you are awful N9eave, but i do like you :D hope you enjoy your fishing

cloudy here but dry so will get over to my neighbours and get her blackcurrants picked, got permission to take them, no point in them going to waste, must get the car washed and waxed too
another playscheme over, think all the LO's enjoy themselves, 1-5yrs, but after four hours they are getting tired and it is nice to see all eleven of them tied into their various seats in the minibus for the journey home, they get transported door to door with an escort, not bad for fifteen pounds for six sessions considering one family lives fifteen miles away

hester that was a lovely thing your dd did for you, what a boost to you
mrsmix well done to your ds2 and good luck with the driving
queenie big hugs to you, we are all thinking of you x
    hugs to you scuzz

    love to all xx

    Good morning everyone

HHester what a lovely daughter you have. I hope you took the money to give yourself some well-earned rest.
scuzz I know what you mean about coping well then slipping re your ex. I heard from my ex-partner this week. He is moving out of the country and phoned to let me know. I have been up and down since. Still trying to work out how I feel about the whole thing. ((hugs)) Hope you get the new job - it could be the start of a whole new life for you.

Today is my DD's last day at primary school. There will be lots of tears today. She is taking a sweatshirt for everyone to write on - the teacher sent a slip home asking permission from parents to do this. Still, she is looking forward to high school and will still see some of her primary school friends.

W**k today but only till 1.00pm as DS finishes at that time. Think I may use the time between 1.00 and 3.15 to try and get him some new swim shorts. He has grown about six inches in the last year so there is no chance that the swim shorts he has will fit him.

I'm on holiday next week and I'm going to use the time trying to get fitter. I weighed myself this morning and was disgusted at what I saw. So, I have given myself a severe talking to and did 200 sit-ups before I came on here. After I have posted, I am going to do 10 mins on the exercise bike before the school run and then do some later tonight.

No idea what dinner will be tonight but I suspect it will be chicken with salad or lots of veg.

    Have a fabulous Friday. xx

    Good morning all!

Hester, what a lovely kind person your DD is!

Yesterday I wondered if summer had arrived, today it seems that if it had, that was it - but the start of the summer holidays for the local schools seems to have brought grey skies & rain with it.

I have the house to myself this morning, DS is staying overnight at a friend's, DH has gone off to work and all I need to do is get some lunch prepared & some food to share for our home ed. group picnic in Suffolk today, which is where I shall be reunited with DS. I think I might make a batch of chocolate squidgy cake (don't think that's the real name, but it is a very chocolatey fudgy sort of cake - doesn't look very elegant but is really scrummy... and totally naughtily calorie-filled)
If I do make some, I will post the recipe later . It's very easy, otherwise I wouldn't be making it!

    Have a good day!

    Morning All

Hester - your daughter is a credit to you.

    N9eav - enjoy your fishing

Not sure about the others but PP is on a short holiday.

Last day of school today yipee!!! However DS eye infection is back, if it looks better in a while he will go to school if not he will stay at home. Meant to be meeting a friend for lunch who I put off last time but we will see. May ask my sister to babysit but have a feeling she wont be happy.

Very wet start here but hopefully it is meant to brighten later, think at the moment the forcast for the weekend is ok, I want to have a quiet one but think oh wants to go out on the boat sunday, we havnt used it so far this year - if we are free the weather is awful, if we are busy the weather and tides are perfect.

Think will be pie, new pots and veg for dinner, really want to empty the freezer over the summer hols and have a big stock up in December - there seems to be quite a lot of barbeque stuff in there!

Off now - have a great day.

    Good morning everyone,

Not much happening here, have 2 LOs today, and while its still nice out, im going to take them to the park for half an hour, i know the rain is on its way, but will try and make the most of outside whilst its still dry!!!

Do need to see my solicitor today - im signing the forms to add my name to my childrens surname, they are so excited about it. I know their dad isnt happy, but tough, he hardly sees them and its what they want, so thats the important bit!!!

Other than the countdown to the new Harry Potter book, not much else planned today - so hope everyone has a good one!!

Oops - ive already entered the lenor one, although not the Eden project tickets, as my 2 are at school in Cornwall, we qualify for free childrens tickets!!!

cabbageboy - PP is on holiday, and has been a bit poorly, Churchmouse and pink winged are about, but not sure about Ticklemouse. Ive seen squeaky posting elsewhere, just not on the daily post. Mind you, Shez and Kaz have been missing this week (and a few others).

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good morning everyone :hello:

Yesterday was my last day of term, so I'm able to come back and post- hurrah! It was quite an exhausting run up to the end of term, but it's over now. We went out for a meal last night as one of the teachers was retiring. I was driving, so was on soft drinks all evening, BUT I still feel a bit icky. Could have been the food? At least I don't have to see small children today!

Speaking of small children, one boy was so upset that I was leaving. He was one that was forever getting himself into trouble, staying in at break due to poor behaviour, but he was quite a bright little thing. The staff, very generously, gave me a present in assembly. I looked over and saw this boy rubbing his eyes. Turned out it was because of me. :o Then I gave him a thank you note because he gave me a bottle of wine, cue more sobbing and sitting under a table not wanting to come out! This, naturally, set me off so between a Year 3 boy and a 28 yr old teacher, we were a right bunch of chumps!

We are moving on Monday, so today will be given over to packing things up. We're only moving up the road (from 58 to 102!), due to our landlord selling up and us needing to find somewhere QUICK! This new rental company seem quite a bit better than the last one, so it should be good dealing with them. We pick the keys up today, but tomorrow we're down in London for a seminar about moving to New Zealand..............

Goodness only knows what I'm having for lunch! I haven't been shopping for a while, so it might be scrambled eggs as I seem to think that I have some eggs at least.
