but why are you scared of them?
I tell the kids that they are good and eat all the other nasties, earwigs, ants, wasps etc
Spiders are good!!
there was an article on the news earlier about jumping spiders!!
I won't post a pic!

Yes Locarr I do all that - Dad did same with us too. Cuts no dice with DS or OH tho.
Why am I frightened? I think I am normally ok but occasionally have discovered one on me when not expected - after bringing in washing, not seeing and walking through web in garden, opening a box and one running out and something primeval takes over and I have to jump back, especially after the jumper - but they are outside ones.
Yes re link :j - much smaller but that's what happened - not experienced a jumping spider til that point. Anyone would jump I swear if it wasn't your experience til then ..... Only play with house spiders and not those outside ..
Anyhow belated hello peeps happy glitching.

:j Morning all! (just!)Reason why I only have one conker is because someone told me they encourage mice into the house :eek::eek::eek: so don't want to put lots of conkers about.
I think they are having you on! I reckon mice would be more attracted to any food in your kitchen/ larder than a conker?
I don't mind spiders. OH is terrified though so I usually evict them with glass & paper, but I only evict them if he see's them. If OH is away I leave them be.
I quite like spiders actually but moths give me the heebeegeebees... mainly because they act like drunkards and fly into the light or your hair. They really annoy me but I still evict rather than kill them.
I OD'd at Woodsock. Opps. :rotfl:
It's dark and raining here. Blurghh! Bring back the sun!!!http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/alpro-almond-milk-1l-1-tesco-2018484
Says £1 on t.com but still says £1.68 on msm. Which one do I trust to do a A vs T
Thankyou. I have completley run out of milk and was think of doing an A v M shop, but my local A doesnt sell the unsweetened Almond milk. The sweetened one is too sweet for me. I will probably just stock up in Mr T. I fancy some porridge for brekkie now it's getting colder.
I don't cook it though. I just soak the oats in almond milk overnight then add a sprinkle of cinnamon. It's lighter that way and less washing up!
I am bit slow though and I frustrate him if I do try which is why I only tend to heat up and I have to have a sparkling clean kitchen with all the decks cleared before I start which living with Mr TS doesn't happen often he always has something on the go.
It's lovely this week not having any coffee grounds to clear up they seem to get everywhere when he is home. :rotfl:
Snap Tinyshoes. Were we separated at birth? I can't bear to having anything out on the kitchen surfaces when I cook. I only have a little kitchen so any space is precious.
And my OH is exactly the same with his coffee grounds, drives me mad!"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Also if you order 10 Udi and £1 in fillers and the Udi are OOS they sometimes cancel the whole order. Best spend £3/4
They phoned me last time to ask what I wanted them to sub with, I asked them to leave it but had spent about £10 above anyway. Did the same with this order but have used stuff that I need and compares well with T. Thanks for your help :A0 -
On the subject of spiders, can I ask why people are so scared of these harmless creatures?
My Mrs has an irrational fear of them and has passed it on to the kids!
Im often asked to remove them, I just cup them in my hand and put them out....or just scare them off and tell them I've put them out!!;)
google an image of a spider bite, i wouldnt exactly call them "harmless"

Spiders are gd. No idea why ppl are so bothered.
They eat flies etc.
The main problem we have in the house is blinking woodlice. All over the place! They do no harm but the places you find them!(folded in clothes etc)
We tend to get butterlies in our bedroom when its warm or the heating is on, OH is terrified of themI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

i have conkers in every room in my house. I dont worry about them attracting mice, my asbo cat would soon have that dealt with :rotfl:
My mum texts me pictures of the ones in her house  :pale:
People been putting pics of them on facebook. I been deleting people for it, ha!
I can cope with all sorts of things, I do at the allotment but big spiders are my nemesis. I cannot cope with them at all. Misery Guts will chuck them outside. I either hoover them, stamp on them or my cat deals with them. I dont care if they die, for every one that dies there are about a million more to replace it.
Couple of years ago he was giving me a lift to work and we were facing the sun. I pulled the sun visor down and the biggest spider you have ever seen was underneath it. I was trying to get out of the car while it was still moving. I check for them obsessively- in my shoes before I put them on, in my clothes,in my bed, on my bath towels, on the shower curtain before I get in the bath, in and around the toilet, on light switches, door handles, you name it, i'll check it
Everyone has something they are scared of. If they say they dont, they are lying.
