Jumblejack, I've heard good things about coconut before but have yet to try it. Can I ask where you buy your coconut butter please? I'd like to try this :D

I buy it from Paks Indian supermarket. 2 blocks for £1.10.

That's pretty good value and cheaper than regular butter. (I don't touch margarines of any description)

    The blocks are 200g each.

Morning all. Funny one here, bright sky but raining.
Nothing much planned, so might have to do a bit of ironing :( Hopefully a nice little glitch will come along and save me.

My daughter has a thyroid problem and various skin ailments. She has had a bad year mentally and has lost a lot of weight. my sister in law is in to natural remedies and recommended coconut oil for eating and skin car, cider vinegar for the same, triphala for digestive problems and also turmeric. My dd has been using all of the above for 3 weeks and the improvement is really noticeable. her skin is glowing, she is not always tired and her ibs is calm. She also has chia seeds in her smoothy and multivitamins every day as she is veggie and her diet is limited.

    Brilliant stuff!!!

I don't use ANY products on my skin other than my own home prepared.

My skin creams are made of coconut oil and orange essential oil (good for skin cancers).

I try not to put anything on my skin that I wouldn't put in it as skin is kind of like an organ and stuff goes straight into your bloodstream.

Ps, I also use cider vinegar that I keep in a spritz bottle in the bathroom. Its a very convenient way of using as a leave in conditioner/body spray/deodorant etc etc with no wastage.

Any vinegar smell completely dissipates upon drying.

Pataks do one aswell, find it in the curry sauce aisle - in pretty much all the supermarkets :)

  • You can get creamed coconut for 79p for 198g in T, I normally have some in the cupboard, use it for Caribbean cooking etc, must make more use of it now :)

I use nothing but shower gel/soap on my skin. I have a friend who is a year older than me and looks about 15 years older, she looks older than her age and I look younger (so I am told). I do not wear makeup because I hate the stuff that is used to take it off and have always thought it cannot be good for skin.

Thanks to the OP of the tissue glitch a few months ago......oh and the chesty cough and flu tabs glitch :D :rotfl::rotfl:

Im not chesty (how can a tablet know how 'chesty' you are?) :p but it's all the same stuff anyway.

11:14 is way to late to be going to bed if you're ill  I recommend that tonight you are in bed by 10pm so you can get 8 hours sleep minimum :p That's what I'll be doing as I'm also coming down with something :( This is just typical now I've started a new job and I was ill with a tummy bug last week too

Hope you feel better soon :)
