  • had a lovely day today, went to an autumn day at a local community gardens, then went to rspca to 'have a look" at cats, no promises, might get one at some point........ well we now have 2 x 4 month old sisters reserved to take home next week :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

this may be a complete disaster for my house-work :rotfl:

Will therefore be decluttering £150 next weekend, plus extra for a carrier, litter tray, litter, food, toys, bed etc etc etc........

Other than that, have finally sorted and put away the 20 loads of washing that accumulated on the landing :rotfl:

Sorry that your dd is departing sooner than you thought skinty
the neighbours sound very trying Bossy, you sound more restrained about it all than I might be :(

hope everyone is out enjoying the lovely sunday sunshine

Have just had another walk in the sunshine, possibly a little too hot for the dogs, they are now snoozing in the LR.

I've done what I really needed to in the garden today so will make further progress next weekend, fingers crossed the weather is still nice.

The recycling is out and I'm going to have a bit of a sit down while I wait for DH to come home from the paid stuff.
Spend less now, work less later.

Well done Master Moo on going solo - however brief, it is a big achievement and once done, it will be easier the second time around.

WM x 2 out on the lines. I wombled a bright yellow laundry basket from a hedge (on MoD land, so very, very technically, theft) on our walk on Monday. I never knew a simple laundry basket could make life so much easier. It took a while to clean up but I've never had one before so that's an improvement. I can't get over the weather.

The forecast is dry for another five days - I've never known anywhere in Devon to be this dry, much less Plymouth. 'Mazing. Positivly hot today.
    Better is good enough.

DS2 happily dposited, took DS3 for a wander around the area, traffic was heavy so took longer than expected.
DS1 has tidied up the kitchen for me.

Just having a cuppa then not sure what I'll do, a bit of paperwork I think.

Kiddies are away to sleep after tea and bath, plus a moment where DS volunteered to help DD tidy her bedroom. It's a minor breakthrough, he didn't actually do much but the sentiment was appreciated by both DD and myself. I helped too so the floor is clear of the little-girl-type-debris.

Vac is upstairs ready for an outing during my lunch break tomorrow.

Flung some tab ends back over the fence :o and put the outdoor toys away.

House seems to have recovered a little from the bedlam it felt like at the start of the weekend. It's so true that a little here and a little there really adds up.

Window cleaner has text, he is coming tomorrow and I owe him double. There was a mix up last time where I'd said I'd be in - and I was for a few hours :o but anyway, I missed him. I'll sort the money tonight and leave it in a tub in the kids playhouse for him... Even though I'll be home tomorrow - just in case I get called away for anything.

Hugs to all those hens with chicks flying the nest xxx

  • Err, was that a weekend I just saw fly past me?

I have shopped, put washing in, took it out again, made beds, tidied, hoovered, cooked meals, dusted, ferried kids here there and everywhere, updated my finance spreadsheets, done some invoices for OH and thats it. Apart from sitting down and reading a bit last night and watching DS play footie this aft I havent stopped.

This is not how weekends are supposed to be I am sure. Am I feeling a bit sorry for myself? Yes. Definitely.

Oh well, another week starts tomorrow.

DS3 is full of snot, I am full of snot, Moomin is full of snot, Pixie is full of snot.. I see the need to buy extra loo rolls this week and stock up on drugs again.. and Vaseline, or lip balm for the sore noses lol.

Dot is very warm as is Squeak.. and Squeak fell asleep on my lap earlier which is very unlike her and Dot fell asleep about 6:30 on OH and went up to bed, she was just woken by a screaming Pixie so is now in her pjs having been toileted too.

I am spending the remainder of the evening in consultation with my knitting, a box of Turkish delight and a cuppa!

DW on, everyone scrubbed.. washing off the line airing in the dryer.
