Yesterday I gave the whole house a quick once over as we had family over for dinner. Wm x1 and dw x 1 and hhi. (My iron has started leaking so had to stop. Only had it about 3 or 4 weeks so need to dig the receipt out for that!

    Update for ionafan
I also went into the loft and wrote down all the Christmas presents. Although it looks like my youngest has got far more, adding them up they have both had the same amount of money so I don't need to worry. Just space for eldests gift from Santa. I have officially finished all the kids (my two, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends children!). Just adults to do now! I want to add it all up now to see how much has been spent in total!

    Monring!

Sorry you won't get the extra time with DD, skinty x

Was awake at 5 thanks to NDN. I'm sure they said they were only away for a week :(

So I'm not in the best of moods. Will have to gather my patience for the littlies sake I think ;)

Just put chicken in sc for later, might have with rice I think. There was loads of chicken all frozen together but I can re freeze the cooked stuff in portions.

I've more washing to do and uniform ironing too.

Skint - can you plan a little treat for you both one weekend, or perhaps during a reading week if she has one?

Dusty - most of our students came back last weekend, cars everywhere stacked high with duvets and laundry airers! All the best to DS, and safe journey.

Food fair yesterday was brilliant, so we've decided to skip Sunday lunch, and have lunch there today and there is sunshine today too. Managed to buy some lovely gifts, including a beautiful Romney Marsh wool scarf for DD. Yes, I know it's not food, but there are other things there too! Stallholder has been before, keeps sheep on Marsh, and sells the wool and woven products as well as cosmetics. The hand cream is fantastic. I covet one of the blankets, but can't quite justify the cost. Must save up.

House isn't looking horrendous, plan on doing bathroom in a minute. Strange time, but seems to work, as I clean quietly and no one else up to want to use it!

Hoping this week that I am up to painting the hallway. Need to replace carpet as well, but dithering between carpet and laminate. Like hard surface, think it will look great, but always dusty and a bit noisy.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!

Late birthday wishes for Valli and juliejim.:bdaycake::bdaycake:

  • Challenge Update. The idea I had for resizing the dressing gown toile works! I recut and remade the whole top, front, back and sleeves before OH got home late last night and I'm over the moon with it. It's a whole new level of skill I'd hoped I'd be able to develop and I've done it! With committing to the the Flylady Challenge I'd never have been brave enough to tackle it.

As long as he doesn't get any silly ideas today about having to do housework today, I think I can remake the toile from start to finish, full length today. That would be amazing. (If he volunteers to do vacuuming, I feel honour bound to dust and stuff. Yuk on Sundays.)
    Better is good enough.
  • Afternoon all. Been very missing in action and am afraid the flying is suffering. Today ive put 2 loads out on line and done the ironing. Let kids do hama beads whilst iron was out!

Me n dh have just emptied dd1s room to decorate. Weve been in a year and the whoke house needs doing. Dd2 room is done. So on to this one. Dh gone to tip with old carpet. Waiting for rolls to defrost to make lunch. Have just done reading books with kids too.

Bunkbeds and wardrobe listed on fb. Wardrobe sold. Beds have lots of enquiries but no takers as yet...

Hello again. I've walked the dogs, hoovered through the house, sorted the indoor plants, wudupa, and second and last wash is in the machine. It is a really hot beautiful day and I have been out and cut the grass back and front and am just tackling the tomato plants, but stopped for a quick lunch.
Spend less now, work less later.

We've been to the park, had a bit of a practice, only briefly let go of his bike but he's not the most confident of boys. Lots of encouragement and a hi 5, then he asked me to put the stabilisers back on. But he tried, and will keep trying.

Chicken scoffed, reading and spellings done, and am about to turf them back out into the sunshine. I will go deweb the house and slide for them, then do the ironing I think.

Just going to help DD with MarioKart she keeps flying off the edge haha

Ironing done and out away, shopping delivered and put away. Toy explosion still needing attention. Kids relived we now have food and have just had a little icecream outside - Indian summer? We are forecast warm weather I think for a few days :T I'd thought the school shorts might need to be put away but not just yet!

I'm thinking of WFH tomorrow, no-one else is due in tomorrow (in my location, they will be at others and one is on holiday). So the challenge will be not to graze all day, and to focus on paid stuff.

    Famous last words!

Leek and bacon bake done for tea tomorrow. Bathroom done and washing done. Living room and kitchen hoovered through.

Nipped out to get DD an extension cable so will drop that off on the way to work tomorrow. Off to make a cuppa and catch up with some tv I recorded.
