We are having paint traumas. OH wants to paint the kitchen a "colour" because our kitchen walls get grubby with the kids, the dog, cooking etc. Also the new kitchen is cream so he thinks it will be too bland. I like neutrals and would rather just stick with the Natural Hessian we had before then add some colour with other bits and pieces. Anyone got any advice?

I have very plain beech units and tiles in a similar colour. I painted the walls a pale lime green - sorry, can't remember the exact shade - which reflects light and tones in with all the greens in the garden (we have a big window). I'm very pleased with it :)

    Morning all

YL what colour are your worktops and floor?

WM and DW both on. I'm off to pilates and a chairty coffee morning so will not be around until lunchtime and need to go to Mr M this afternoon. Flying will be in HH spells.

    Morning fly ladies!
This morning I have got ds1 off to school and sorted out the kitchen! It was a right state from last night. (We were too tired to do it!) so all washing up done, kitchen tidied and sided swiped down. Also put some bread on to have with my soup at lunchtime. Now on with the lists. I have half an hour before swimming and then I will be back at 11.30!

    Morning!

DS away to school and just supported the school Macmillan coffee morning. Will take DD to gym shortly. Told her we need to pop to granny's again and she said "I don't want to, she can just give medicine to her own self":rotfl: bless her. I kind of see her point, we did get turfed out after an hour yesterday, but mum can't be on her own all day and stepdad is out at work. She might be a bit brighter today anyway.

I've a bit of washing to do but it may as well wait until after school and I can bung DS uniform in too.

I gave my bedroom a dusting last night as I found a cobweb from my lamp to the headboard  could really do with hoiking the vac upstairs.

DDs room needs a tidy - the babies are still having picnic under her bed from yesterday...

Oh dear - DD just tried on some barely worn boots given to us by DS friends' older sister (she's 8 and a half) and they fit! Think she's going to have big feet like her mama...

Still, saves me hunting around for something for her feet, she likes anything hand-me-down from that older girl, she's a bit in awe of her :)

  • teacher training day here - 5 kids all playing lego, smallest one pulling all the last of the tomatoes off one by one and denying that shes got a stinky nappy....

wm and td in action, bathroom improved, downstairs loo cleaned, laundry brought downstairs, beds made. Another wet bed last night so yet more to wash and dry..... I think we're going to persuade him to go back into nighttime pants tonight....

mince and onions frying for tonights lasagne

an admin frog gobbled up today already :D and dentist appt made for next week (poorly tooth which is killing me :( )

after 3 days at work, I have realised that I have zero food in the house of the bread/milk/eggs/biccies/bananas etc variety, so I'm going to drag the 6 down to asda in a bit. Might go via the library and the park too. Wish me luck!

really must do that nappy now! See you later......
