Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

    Update:

I attended and looked around, I picked up application form for a warehouse position called (The Range) which is opening soon.

I also signed up to 2 course which are the following:

    1. Food Safety - Level 1.
    2. Customer Service - Level 1.

Start dates are unknown at the moment, I will get a letter in the post regarding start times.

Also got a few compliments from men regarding my t-shirt, one man (he was sexy and young) said this: now we do mate, and then he said, is it true, your gay? I said yes, and he said mate you are seriously brave wearing that t-shirt in public.

Other men smiled at me regarding my t-shirt, also they was no dress code because most of them were wearing trackies, jeans, trainers.

They was this girl wearing a Batman t-shirt, do any of you think that's suitable going to a Job fair? no, its not so why you all having a go at me because of my gay t-shirt.

You don't come across as comfortable in your own skin. Do you subconsciously hate yourself and what you are? You remind me of Jay off the Inbetweeners, bragging about his outrageous exploits to cover up his own inadequacies.

Them that do, do. Them that don't, talk about it.

Was asked earlier so maybe you missed it but what happened with the admin role in a kitchen sales place in Todmorden ?

dont just sit on your larry and think you dont need to stop looking for jobs, still keep on looking, you just need to change your approach eg stop wearing the dam t shirts.

So making the effort to dresss smartly and appropriately will help someone stand out for the right reasons. I've attended job fairs in a previous role (when I worked for a local college) and you could easily see which people were serious about finding work or education.

A t-shirt with any slogan wouldn't get you far - nothing whatsoever to do with sexuality.

I'd say it would depend on what type of recruiters are at the jobs fair.
I hardly think recruiters looking for tradesmen or workers in catering would give a monkeys what people are wearing, to be honest (as long as they are clean and tidy - which is entirely possible in jeans and a t-shirt).

I assure you if she came onto this board and said she planned to go to a jobs fair wearing a Batman t-shirt that people would 'have a go' at her too. To get a job you need to be the best person overall, so aiming not to be the very scruffiest dressed is a very low aim - you want to be at least better than average.
