The boohoo work I worked in was a only temporary position which I did state that it was only a short term contract.
Is this why Sky are cutting you off for non-payment?

    Wind up merchant, maybe?
  • OK, I have to get this off my chest.

You are getting paid JSA to look for work... you should be doing your best to make yourself as employable as possible.

You seem to spend an enormous amount of time (judging by the constant moaning on here) trying to be as obstructive as possible.

Do you actually want a job?

Wear a shirt, tie and smart trousers to the job fair - show you want to work by making an effort to look employable.

I agree with you what you said but my sexuality shouldn't be a problem, if they don't employ me because based on my sexuality then its discrimination.

And to your question, yes I want a Job.
  • You should look at the jobs fair as a kind of "pre-interview" if you like, you want to sell youself to prospective employers, if you go looking "casual" they are probably gonna think that you can't really be bothered, so why would anyone want to employ someone that can't be bothered to at least look smart for one day

    Do you see my point?
  • A t-shirt; regardless of the logo on it is not appropriate dress for most job fairs. Trousers and a shirt.

Your sexuality isn't a problem - your constant insistence on making public statements about it though is tedious. I don't go around in a t-shirt with my preferences on display and it's not the first thing I want to know about someone when I meet them professionally.

You need to grow up, stop thinking that the rules don't apply to you and just do what is necessary to make yourself employable.

A t-shirt is not the right attire for attracting a job offer.

It is not discrimination to refuse to employ someone with lousy or inappropriate dress sense though. I am sure I am wasting my breath, but anyone who actually wants to work has got to have a few plain Tshirts. Assuming Tshirts are appropriate workwear. And a jobs fair is not a place where any Tshirt is appropriate. Only someone not looking for a job from this would wear such inappropriate clothing.

It's not discrimination based on your sexuality, it's based on your inability to judge a situation - you don't get that you DO NOT wear something deliberately provocative in a situation where an employer can be influenced. That's showing extremely poor judgement & lack of professionalism, in much the same way that I wouldn't give a guy wearing a "I love puzy" t-shirt a job - it's just not appropriate. How many times have you been sanctioned or warned over this?
