Yes it has worked a lot, I get loads of offers when I am down Canal Street in Manchester.
What I don't like is camp guys, camps don't do it for me as I want a man to be a man.
I get told by loads of sexy men that I am cute and a good looking guy.0 -
Offers for what? Work? If so, why are you still unemployed - surely a visit to Canal street would get you a job if that's what you mean. If it isn't what you mean and you think you'll get a job because a few drunk men complimented you, snap back to reality, it will never happen - "oh, you're cute/good looking, you're hired".
There are a few gay men where I work, one I worked with for over a year without knowing, and another where it's a bit more obvious. But no-one cares if they are gay, it would however be a severe annoyance to their colleagues if they started flouting it at every opportunity.
If you came to a job interview here with that attitude, you'd be laughed out of the building, or if you did somehow get the job, most certainly be pulled up for what you were wearing on dress down days given this is the only type of shirt you seem to have and it would be presumed being worn as a provocation.
I can imagine the interview starting:
"So, why do you want the job?"
"Well, I'm a gay man and as a gay man..."
Keep it up and you will never make it with any respectable company.Professional Data Monkey

Not offers of work, cop of with men if you know what I mean, can't say any more then cop of because this is a family forum and I don't want to get banned for posting any offensive comments.
Like I stated, while I am out of work, I can wear what I want, its got nothing do with people what I wear, I never wear these t-shirts in a interview because its not professional.0 -

Fair enough, but this is a thread about attending a Jobs Fair, where you will be looking for a job and meeting potential employers for the first time.
Wearing jeans and a T-shirt might be the norm for these things but if you are trying to create a good first impression, stand out from the crowd and are serious about getting a job, then dressing smartly will go a long way to creating that good first impression.
The last formal job interview I had was for a factory job with 10,000's of applicants, interviewing 40-50 candidates a session.
We were told to come in smart dress, which most people took to mean a suit. Some people I saw who came dressed more casually (but still quite smart) were turned away and not even interviewed.0 -

Sorry am I missing something here? What on earth has you being gay got to do with getting a job? This isn't the forum for the gay pride movements, nobody gives a flying fcuk what sexuality you are, they just wanted to offer advice on the job fair.
You're gay, good on you, pat on the back and all that, but you're still a jobless bum with a terrible attitude so use your time wisely and go down canal street to get laid.0 -

Well I've never been to that part of Manchester, but I remember you posting a link to your POF profile on MSE once and I probably wouldn't describe you as cute, no offence.0
