Never been without one for 26 years. You cant wash at that temp even with rubber gloves. Washed, rinsed, dried.0

The dishwasher was here when i moved in, so that's over 7yrs ago now.
I'm here by myself and not used it once.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Oooh, we have had our dish washer for at least 30 years, (not the same one ha ha) there is only 2 of us but no, I wouldn't be without mine.
5 minutes after we eat, the kitchen is cleared, spic and span, brilliant at Christmas. Life is far too short for wasting time washing up......
More quality time for family, specially you youngsters with a new baby....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

We (2 adults/2 children) have a dishwasher and hardly ever use it. I lived with a dishwasher since I was a child (many years ago!) but I too don't like them, find that doing the dishes after a meal is quick anyway, and the result is much better. It is good for Christmas time though!0

We are having a dishwasher installed into our new kitchen (being installed as we speak). I hope it lives up to the hype. We used to have a dishwasher but never found it to wash particularly well and so ended up removing it. Apparently out mistake was not using it often enough because this can leave dirt residues etc which leave the plates smeary. As for costs, Aldi washing up liquid is 59p a bottle and so I'm not sure how even the cheapest dishwasher tablets can compete with that - but I'm intending on using the Aldi tablets.0

There was one in our house when we moved in. We tried it once - it took two hours. It was disconnected the next day. When we finally get round to re-doing the kitchen we won't be getting another one.0

We had one installed a year ago - it's changed my life! And no more arguments about whose turn it is to wash up or if the dishes haven't been cleaned properly.0

After years of saying "we don't need one", finally gave in and would not be without one now.
One thing i would go for a full size one if you can squeeze one in, there is only three of us but our full size one soon fills up, a slimline would be too small for the three of us.0 -
Never had one before we bought our current house and now I love mine. Recently got given some Fairy platinum tabs to try as part of being a bzzagent and I have to say that they were no better than the tesco value ones I currently use. In fact the fairy left some watermarks on glasses that my cheapy value ones do not! You can buy tyheir value dishwasher salt as well and the own brand rinse aid is pretty good.
If you're not a tesco shopper I know Sainsbury basic tabs are exactly the same as we did a sainsburys shop not long ago to use up some vouchers we had and once I'd opened the box the tabs inside were in EXACTLY the same little cellophane wrapper, right down to the colour and style of the text!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0
