I think that's going to be the best thing to do and just let him have his tantrums.
If I put all the wages into my account and them give him an allowance every week, and with that money he can do whatever he likes but if he borrows of friends he pays them back out of that money as well? Do you think that sounds fair?
Sounds eminently fair. You cannot be expected to bear the burden of his stupidity in this case.
The lady died nearly 120 years ago and I obviously cannot confirm that story, but it is what I was told.Good on her! :TDebt Free! Long road, but we did it
Meet my best friend : YNAB (you need a budget)

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you both? Myself and my partner are both in our 30's but met when we were in ours 20's, he was still very much in the 'young and stupid' phase of his life when we met but I was already very much past it, hence him having the tantrums.
If he wants to act like a child, treat him like a child, the allowance is a good idea. If he lends from anyone, he pays back out of whatever allowance you give him.....Only I would be really cruel and give him the absolute minimum so he grows up a bit quicker
that's just me though, I understand you still have to live with this man! Current Debt - Credit Card £3231.14; Hire Purchase £4,555; Catalogue £562.60, Loan £4754.880 -

I know haha!
He said he'll think about it. So I'm going to redo my SOA (when I first done it we were really cutting back and he wasn't drinking/gambling) to include what he is spending and show him how much it's affecting us.Nov GC £0/£2100
