    Can anyone tell me if there is much hassle changing to "wireless" and changing to a new isp? This deal sounds quite tempting to me - but I can't do major hassle!!
    Thanks

    Not saying it's a good deal as I haven't had time to look in to it but AOL are offering a free laptop if you sign up to them for 2 years;

    http://shop.carphonewarehouse.com/show_aol_laptop_splash.php

    I have been with aol for a few years but recently had to change my contract as the modem i had would not work with my new comp( which has vista.)I did this over the phone and did not sign anything,does anyone know if they can hold me to the contract?.I would like the laptop but if i cannot have it i could get cheaper internet elsewhere.

    you don't need to go wireless. The router will allow cabled connections.

    It is fairly simple to add wireless devices though and the AOL setup will bring you through it step by step.
  • I wonder if I will be able to take up this deal as an existing customer? My 12 month minimum term contract is just finishing...

    Its an EI system one too so chances are it wont even last the 2 years that you have to subscribe to Orange broadband to get it.
    Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive :D

    I too have pre registered.
    I am trying to find a way to get cashback from quidco too.
    Both Aol and Carphone warehouse are on quidco,but you have to go via Carphone warehouse to sign up for the laptop deal and this is what they have listed on Quidco:
    £5for other phone sale - on a per transaction basis, not per phone5%for accessory, ringtone or other sale£10for Prepay Nokia2310 (£19.95 T-Mobile), Nokia 6080 (£29.95 Vodafone/Virgin), Nokia 6300 (£99.95 Orange/o2)£60for contract (pay monthly) phone sale - on a per transaction basis, not per phone
  • I have also pre-regd but I don't think they'll be any chance of quidco cashback because at the end of the day they don't need to pay someone to recruit you when they are doing it themselves with the carrot of a free laptop.
