    Hi all morning rant here!

My tax credits have been cut again!! !!!!!!!? I need to find my tax credits letter wherever I put it. I was originally £648 every four weeks, then went down to £488 last month so I thought ok will be tight but I will manage as only three months left to pay... Today £316 honestly!!!??? My sons nursery is £615 every month . Good thing only two more payments but if I cannot find the letter I think I should phone or am I overreacting. I am a single parent and get no help from the sperm donor nothing. All on my own. Not on a pity parade but honestly total joke is our Government.... rant over :/

    13 days until payday
28 days until pitiful tax credits in (two payments nursery left and phone to update them)

Sorry for my rant :( xx

I am on a real downer today sorry.

Due to cuts on money from tax credits and an unexpected bill, I have had to go into my Xmas money and borrow from my mum and dad. The next two months I will be focusing on paying off this and getting get my Xmas fund back up. Hoping that with nursery fees stopping in July will be back on track.

This upsets me so much but I need to focus on what I can pay and not struggle or I will be in worse debt like this. If i have money at the end of the pay month I will definitely pay towards loan over next two months I just have to focus on paying my mum back and having that Xmas fund back up.

Really angry with myself. 1. for allowing my ex putting me in debt and letting him away with it. 2. not properly arranging money (though i did not know that my money for tax credit would have went down 300 tbh)

Sorry guys for downer post. xx

    Hey Monz

Sorry you've had to borrow money/dip into xmas money. But to look at the positives:-
    * You had xmas money there to dip into - have you been this organised and had money saved for xmas in May in previous years?
    * You've managed to save for your holiday on top of the progress you've made, so now that you're holiday is out the way you'll have more money to use towards your debts
    * Whilst it sucks that your ex put you into debt, at least you're learning to properly manage your money which you can carry forward to when you're debt free - I try and look at it this way (minus the **** ex!)

Have you got an emergency fund? Maybe you should start putting money aside which you could use in the future if you're faced with this sort of situation again?

Did you manage to speak to the tax credits people?
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)
