Got the price... £1,200. I have booked it for end of November. I am hopefully going to be able to save £900 by end then and will increase my overdraft. December will have it back down to £250 then January gone as no council tax to pay. Hopefully February will book a holiday. I know some people will be against this or have things to say but I have thought it all out and its my decision that I am happy with.

    10 days til payday xx

  • You are quite right, get it out of the way as soon as possible, it sounds like it's only going to annoy you if not. It's you that has to look at it!

Might be different local authorities, but my council tax free months are February and March (just wanted to flag it in case it's the same as mine and it sneaks up on you!).

Good for you - sometimes you have to take bold steps to get stuff done and as long as you have a plan it's all good. Plus, it's your life!

Aw really, mine is end of January and end of February wage :). So technically Feb and March just way my wages go lol.

I have been working my little spreadsheet to max. I am going to be extra strict and save every penny, as well as get what my son wants for his birthday and Christmas :). Decking will also be done next year but again, waiting til time comes then save. Once all done I can relax and enjoy my house :D xx

Ahh...that makes sense! I didn't think about when the DD falls in the month :)

Quite right working your budget to the max - i'll need to be doing the same over the next gazillion months to pay for everything on the horizon. The things we do to make our houses the way we want them!

I haven't done surveys for the longest time - really should get back into them. They've been a good money maker for me before.

Exactly. Was so happy to get £3.75 right away to put into fund. Will try crowdology also.

Also my friend owes me £40 and giving me that next week so will go into the fund. I could potentially have money by end of the month left by wages and that will go into it as well.

This morning though I did splurge out on £19. Tickets to the GlasGlow night for my son and I. We loved it last year so not missing out :) xx
Abba if you are going we are going 29 October 630pm

9 days til payday. This wage will focus on all my sons birthday. September wage will put aside £350 for fence. xx
