I don't now how many shares there are floating about but I wonder how much value the company has lost by loosing 5p off their share price.

And I hope that next week it will be further down.

A little over £14,100,000 although only down £1,410,000 since your OP.

As the rest of the company is worth more than £600,000,000 I doibt much sleep is being lost at present.

I dont think so. Sleep is being lost.

The shares began at 270 back in Sept 2013. Then rocketed to about 398 in Feb 2014 and they are now 215. How much loss is that from 270 to 215: £155,100,000. If my company lost that much, I wouldn't lose that much sleep either! Chicken feed. Share prices can only ever go up.

You do realise that when they floated the company the owners of Foxtons sold the company at the floatation price of 270 (according to your post) don't you? Of course the directors will still hold some shares and want/hope that the price increases, but the majority of the shares were sold at 270.

So you don't think property or shares are good investments, so in your opinion, what is?

I think this is the same spammer who is rubbishing their prices on another thread........................
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
  • Now down to 210.40. Fantastic!

Down a shilling since your OP. It's not exactly evidence of a company in turmoil.:snow_laug
  • 12p down x 282000000 shares (if i understand shares properly). Huge loss.

The FTSE250 is down about 5% over the last week alone. It looks to me like this boat is falling with the tide.

I don't really understand why you get so priapic about this particular share. It's not house prices or even a vote on house prices. It's just another company.

If house prices fall 5% it's unlikely to have a massive impact on their revenues.
  • Spin spin spin.

    Now down tp 208.60!

Yes very bad news for the shareholders, Foxtons must be relieved that they floated earlier and sold at £2.70, rather than looking to float right now.
