If the share price drops much further Foxtons would be able to buy back part of their business for half of what they sold it for. But obviously over aggressive buying would drive the share price up, so the value that they could buy on the cheap would be limited.

The price has halved in 3 months.

    That's very serious for Foxtons.

If you believe their share price is an indication of future volumes and prices in the London region, then this would point to quite a large correction.

They must be very relieved that they floated (sold) Foxtons earlier this year. It will be more concerning for those that have bought shares at the higher values, obviously the directors will still hold a substantial number shares of course (as well as selling some).

Hopefully this will scare the owners of the share to have a fire sale!

Yes absolutely! Lets hope the current owners (those damn pensioners who invested their pensions by buying Foxton shares) get what they deserve. But those gallant business men who sold Foxtons get away with a nice profit, hats off to you sir! Sounds like you were one of the original Foxtons owners who made a killing by selling their shares, that some on here call names, glad you came along to put your side of the story.

I think that you must be looking at a delayed rather than live price, the ftse 100 is currently up 1.01% (although I think Foxtons is in the ftse 250) and was a fair bit higher than 0.8% 10 mins ago (when you posted).
