I hope you are feeling a lot better by now, Emz, after a few days rest from work. Are you working again today?
Saw an interesting snippet in the paper today. You probably know about it already but thought I'd copy it just in case.
'Murray's a winner for his charity work
Andy Murray has been awarded a top honour by the Association of Tennis Professionals for his charity work. In recognition of helping his great friend and cancer victim Ross Hutchins to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital he has won the ATP's Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award. Murray was also heavily involved in fundraising following the death of former British No 1 Elena Baltacha from liver cancer'.
Fed up that Ferrer just missed out on the Barclay's finals, largely because Raonic won and got one of the last places. Can't stand that guy:(0 -

Hi CBC
I'm sorry that Ferrer didn't get the to O2. I'm not a big fan of Raonic either (might be something to do with his winning record against Murray though).
Speaking of tennis, they have decided to hold the Davis Cup in Glasgow, so looks like OH and I will be visiting Scotland in early March (if we can get tickets).

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I was feeling better, but then the night cough returned with a vengeance. I haven't slept properly for the last 3-4 nights. It seems to take me ages to get to sleep (and I mean about 3 hours, so I'm not sleeping until 1-2am).
However, I am back at work now. I did 3 hours Wednesday and yesterday evening. I'm not back in now until Sunday and then after that not until Thursday evening, so I'm not over doing it.

I hope you got through today's shift at work OK, Emz, and are feeling better overall now:).
Just been watching the tennis and am sorry Andy was beaten by Nishikori in 2 sets. I do like watching Nishikori play though, he reminds me a bit of Ferrer.
Andy wasn't watching his Mum live in the Strictly audience last night but (in case you didn't watch) they showed Judy visiting him in training for his match today. She encouraged him (forced him more like:rotfl:) to dance a few steps with her. Poor lad looked so embarrassed:eek:0 -

Hi CBC
I was very disappointed in Andy, I thought he should have put up more of a fight than a straight sets defeat. I know he must be tired, but he fought so hard to get there in the first place. Fingers crossed he gets his act together tomorrow.

Proper update - I'm seriously slacking at the moment and need to get my a$$ into gear big time!!
Work wise, I haven't been there much, but not through sickness. I have never known a company to book so much holiday off for an employee. I had Saturday off (which was kind of wasted by visiting OH's parents) and I had last night off. I received a call yesterday saying that they have booked this Saturday off for me too!! I don't mind having the time off, but what happens when I actually need to take some leave for myself? I tried to book some holiday for March (when the tennis is on), but the request just disappeared. I've put in for it again and will talk to my boss tomorrow night.
OH is driving me mad. He's 'dying' and keeps on getting 'migraines'. Translation: he's got a head cold!! He was supposed to be going to Coventry today and his work got him a hire car and everything. He's still in bed and is claiming he's not going into work. Problem is, when he's ill, he doesn't just disappear into another room so that I can sleep (which is what I do when I'm ill). He keeps me awake too. He was up at 1.30am yesterday morning saying he had a migraine and he woke me up at 5am today.
Christmas shopping is a non-starter at the moment. I got paid on Monday, but only got about £100 extra, despite all of the overtime I was doing. Doesn't really seem worth it, especially as I made myself ill through doing it. I could have easily earned that at home from my computer. Most of my money has disappeared, but OH gets paid a week Friday, so I'll get some money from him then.
I'm not at work today, so will try to be productive. Here's my to-do list:- [STRIKE]Complete the 3 surveys on eMystery Shopping (worth £10.50)[/STRIKE]
- Do any surveys that hit my inbox today
- Play free bingo this evening
- [STRIKE]Superpoints button clicks[/STRIKE]
- Get a Textbroker article and complete it
- [STRIKE]Hit target on Swagbucks[/STRIKE]
- Write a list of Christmas presents I need to get
- Update info on BzzAgent and Orchard to get more compaigns
- Complete Onepoll surveys
- Write at least 5 posts on Bubblews.

That's an impressive list,Emz:T
I'm glad you are getting some time off, although the company's scheduling of 'leave' certainly does seem bizarre. Still, any extra time now to get yourself fully fit in preparation for the Christmas onslaught is no bad thing.
Sorry to hear OH is 'ill'. Men, eh? My OH has a septic toe at the moment:eek: and I think I've suffered every painful twinge.
Nice to see that Andy won last night. I didn't see the match but to win in straight sets against Raonic was just the boost he needs for what may lie in store next.
Take care of yourself:)0
