What could go wrong?
As usual you exaggerate. Some pubs are open late - decisions are down to individual local authorities.
In Edinburgh, 8 pubs will open late, none 24 hours. None in Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen
http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/scottish-independence-edinburgh-pubs-late-opening-1-3544069EIGHT Edinburgh pubs have gained late licences to allow punters to watch the indyref results coming in.
Bars including the Phoenix on Broughton Street and Kilderkin, close to the Scottish Parliament on Canongate, have secured 3am licences. “We are expecting a lot of tired and thirsty customers,” one barman was reported as saying.
The others pubs open until 3am are the Carrier’s Quarters on Bernard Street, the Greenmantle on Nicholson Street, and the Golden Rule on Yeaman Place.
The bar at the Traverse Theatre has also secured a 3am license. The theatre is putting on a special showing of playwright David Grieg’s ‘Yes/No Plays’, which he began writing twitter as humorous imagined exchanges between friends on opposite sides of the debate.
Just one bar, the Radical Road on Willowbrae Road, has secured a 5am licence as the Evening News previously revealed. The SNP Club, meanwhile, has also been successful is securing a later licence. There have been no similar applications in Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen.

Since when was it ever sensible to encourage the scots drink more, ever ?
No vote here we come, kick all the Westminster leaders out, renage on promise. Build hadrians wall back. Fling dead deased dead cows over the top.
Simple.
Oh how quickly nationalism breeds nationalism and hate breeds hate.
Hamish can recieve a rare queens pardon for sensible advice before the wall goes up, just so we can still know how bad things are going to get.
But otherwise it's a ban on men wearing skirts in blighty.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
Just got this from yougovTomorrow is the Scottish referendum and YouGov would like to know your views of independence once you have voted.
You will be sent an email tomorrow afternoon and will only be able to complete this survey once you have voted or decided you definitely will not vote.
An exit poll of sorts.0 -

If you plan to rebuild Hadrian's Wall, then make sure it's a new one....most of Northumberland is north of the wall.....0 -

Probably wisdom on the boundary, above that you've got northers with way more association with Edinburgh than London. Best to be on the safe side. We can nuclear test in the no mans land then.
Jesus, we're f*cked for a good while if it's a yes vote.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

Shetland probably not leaving regardless of the vote. What a bombshell!
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/sep/17/shetland-may-reconsider-place-scotland-yes-vote-alistair-carmichaelTavish Scott, Shetland's MSP, who, when asked whether Shetland would have to obey the will of Scotland if it voted yes, said: "Will it now? We'll have to look at our options. We're not going to be told what to do by Alex Salmond."
Holy cow. This is sensational. iScotland is absolutely frked without that oil.0 -
They did indeed - but so many people here see the council as a just load of toadying buffoons, completely in thrall to a small group of wealthy and very self-interested worthies, it will probably have persuaded far more people to vote Yes instead.
Is the council actually allowed to do such a thing?0 -
