Gosh this is exciting isn't it?
How is the counting going to work anyway; is it total number of votes for and against, or a win and lose for each electoral region?0 -

Total number. Each of the 32 local authorities will announce their results which will add to the running total. Glasgow could well decide it, depending on timings.0 -

He has always been quietly anti English which is a disgrace as many of his fans are English and have been very loyal to him. He's a journeyman player and does not rank amongst the greats - his tweet on independence shows his level of intellect.0 -

Be interesting to see how they match up with the result.
Yes vote.....
Ipsos MORI (phone) 49%
ICM (phone) 49%
TNS (face to face) 49%
YouGov (online) 48%
Panelbase (online) 48%
ICM (online) 48%
Opinium (online) 48%
Survation (online) 48%
Survation (phone) 47%%
Looks like when a real person in the mix people are more likely to say they vote yes. Ironically getting a worse result than simply online which is much cheaper to conduct.
Bar surveynation ... but I think the timing of that survey skewed that result.
Looks like the no's will come out in force when in the privacy of the polling booth.
If it's a no vote, let's not ever do this again.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

Edinburgh's due to announce at round about the same time too. If it as close as polls make out, it could come down to the last announcement which might be Aberdeen.0 -

If it's no, the question is off the table for a generation.
So 30 years or so....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I'd imagine that without the oil it would be a pretty tough sell.
I know there's this idea about wave power but they're trying to sell a message along the lines of, "Vote Yes to treble your electricity bill!'. Surely it's no coincidence that the rise of Scottish Nationalism has come with oil and its demise will come as the oil runs out.0 -

If there's anything I've learn't from this referendum, and specifically the last two weeks, it's that nothing is off the table!
A no vote answers the Scottish question.
But it brings all manner of issues back to Westminster. The Scots will (quite rightly) want what was promised.
I would suggest the rest of the UK will not be too impressed with giving it!
If (and this is all big if's) the vow is overruled in parliament (which is a high possibility), I can see a case for the Scots having another say and I'd be highly surprised if Scotland just let it all lie.
Salmond has been quite specific over the "no referendum for a generation". He has said HE will not look for one. There are 5 million other Scots who might though!0
