Interviewer didn't insist any further on either issue . He probably doesn't want his house pelted with eggs and his tyres slashed by that wonderful grassroots yes movement.

I find it interesting that Better Together have now descended into a campaign based on 'we're intimidated' and 'if you don't know, vote no'. I thought they couldn't become more negative, but they've proved me wrong.

In reality there are nutters on both sides - I've seen cars with Yes stickers keyed, a banner decrying the difference in life expectancy rates cut in two and replaced by Labour No thanks posters (I wonder if they realised the irony), a Yes supporter was attacked outside the Usher Hall last week, and a woman kicked in the stomach in Sauchiehall Street the week before.

Be careful of simply believing what the media is telling you as it does not always accurately portray the truth. I'm sure many No voters are fearful, but perception of crime rarely equates to the reality of the chance of a crime being committed.

Shocking that the SPF have to do this yet again
As I have previously stated the referendum debate has been robust but overwhelmingly good natured.

It was inevitable that the closer we came to the 18th of September passions would increase but that does not justify the exaggerated rhetoric that is being deployed with increased frequency. Any neutral observer could be led to believe Scotland is on the verge of societal disintegration yet nothing could be further from the truth.

Scotland’s citizens are overwhelmingly law abiding and tolerant and it is preposterous to imply that by placing a cross in a box, our citizens will suddenly abandon the personal virtues and values held dear to them all.

At this time it is more important than ever that individuals be they politicians, journalists or whoever should carefully consider their words, maintain level heads and act with respect. Respect is not demonstrated by suggesting a minority of mindless idiots are representative of anything. One of the many joys of this campaign has been how it has awakened political awareness across almost every single section of society. The success enjoyed by the many should not be sullied by the actions of the few.

Which do you think has the most potential for disorder - a no vote or yes vote?

Neither - we'll just get on with it as we always do. We manage to survive Old Firm derby days and Orange Walks, and the atmosphere in Glasgow is nothing like either of those events at the moment.

A no voter on here was telling everyone that police leave was cancelled because of the potential for violence and turns out that's rubbish too.
Despite reports to the contrary, police leave has not been cancelled for Thursday's vote, although some divisions have re-rostered rest days, a fairly routine move for an election.

I very much doubt there will be much disorder who ever wins

yes a few hotheads and a few drunks but I'm sure sense will prevail.

and the day after the serious business can commence whatever the result because it won't be business as usual.

I think total independence for England might be a clever way to go in the digital age. We would then keep London to ourselves and don't have to ensure any more whinging from Scotish nationalists bleating about how the vote was fixed.

I suggest we table a referendum for wales and northern island to leave and run it once a year until they chose to go as well.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

I was actually thinking along these lines last week. Apparently 'the english' arent allowed to take part in the scottish vote due to the principal of self determination.

Therefore the only vote that could take place in England would be one of self determination ... i.e. forEngland to become independant!. And the welsh, northern irish and scots would have no say in the matter.... that would stick it ip them!
  • The pubs are going to be licensed to be open 24 hours on Thursday.

    What could go wrong?
  • Betting on the area with the highest yes vote

Personally I think Glasgow's result will be the most interesting.

Aberdeen City will definitely vote no overall imo. A lot of money there and the council vehemently opposed to it, even sent out letters with the council tax bills saying vote no I think :rotfl:

They did indeed - but so many people here see the council as a just load of toadying buffoons, completely in thrall to a small group of wealthy and very self-interested worthies, it will probably have persuaded far more people to vote Yes instead.
