DW on
TD on .. it rained on my laundryI had to mad dash it all in.. so the lighter things are in the dryer and the heavy stuff is waiting to be hung up.. currently thrown on a chair in a heap!
I need to pack up ebeast bits and I am HOPING to get DD1's scarf finished today.. I have 11 rows left to do but over 300sts so each row takes a while though the next row is a cable row and takes about half an hour.. I will do that now while I have my cuppa and wake up!!
Chimney sweep was coming to fix the pot today but I'm not expecting him in the rain.. but if he turns up.. YAY!! lol.. it is only light drizzle but I'd hate him to fall off the roof! I'd rather have a bit of water in my fireplace and him come back when it is dry. Blood isn't easy to clean off stone paving

Morning!
I bribed my tiddlers with an extra 20p pocket money if they can get dressed and out of the house nicely this morning
Spoke to DD nursery teacher about reading, and she said they have a literacy support lady now who is devoting a few of her hours to the nursery class, as they have a few older ones like DD who are 4 already. So DD is getting some 121 reading time today :T I'm so pleased they have the resource to work at her pace, I was a bit concerned I'd end up teaching her all wrong!
Also spoke to the pastoral care lady about booking a day off for the family bereavement session we are going on next month. She said not to worry about it, she will mark it as medical, and if anyone asks just send them to her :T
Flying = DS bedding is out on the line againhe doesn't seem concerned so I've not said anything just let him have a quick bath this morning so he wasn't the little lad who smells of w33
I also emptied and refilled DW and now am (clearly!) on at the paid stuff. Off I go...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Good morning all
 Welcome islandYAMI don't have to start googling best ways to clean blood of stone
:bdaycake:
Hope the delightful little monster had a happy birthday yesterday - here's another lot of candles to blow out. Sorry they're late, but yesterday just sort of came and went in this house: I have no idea what I achieved..
I slept late until 8.15 this morning, with no sun streaming through the gap in the curtains to wake mebut it might mean that I will now be able to keep going all day. I have already written a shopping list, had breakfast, read my emails and caught up with this thread.
Glad you had a better day yesterday, skinty, apart from the extra metal in your mouth. Roll on Friday!
Today I must
- update the challenge list
- S&S bathroom
- check and fill 2 resource boxes
- sort papers for charity Trustees' meeting on Friday and write the Agenda
- 2.00 pm U3A Genealogy group
- shop at @ld1 and C0-0p
- do HHI
- 7.30 pm PCC meeting (church council not Police and Crime Commissioner :rotfl:)
That should keep me busy.
DH is hoping to get a phonecall to collect his railway crossing, then he will be able to crack on and finish the garden layout. I might finally get the rockery finished and my poor aubretia planted out soon - they have spent all summer languishing in pots.
(((Hugs))) (especially to Mumof2), spoons (especially to LW and Yorkshirelass), sticks (especially to Skinty) and energy vibes to everyone.0 -
Morning all
Was out of sorts yesterday, so read along but didn't post.
Car passed her MOT (bless her) and had a mini service as I only do about 4000 miles per year.
Decorators started in the kitchen yesterday as well, after they'd gone I baked some twinks with chocolate chips (nom nom). The kitten thought they were nom nom too as I found him on the counter top licking one  Washed up all the bowls and utensils used.
Skinty - massive hugs and sticks for the BD
Pigpen - do you knit on circular needles? If so, do you recommend knit pro needles?
Today would have been late OH's birthday, last year would have been a 'big' birthday and I was ok. This year, it seems to have side swiped me. Probably doesn't help that it would have been my Nan's birthday this month too and she passed in March, so for the first time ever I don't have anyone to buy presents for in September.
To do:
Tax car
Go to Tosco
Bake lemon cake - need to use lemons
'Speak' later
Deco x0 -
Morning
My list for today:
Tidy living room
Load dishwasher (will probably need to do 2 loads)
