I think its nice to save a bit but you need to live a bit as well. At the end of the day your a long time dead so enjoy your money whilst you have got it.
Obviously you can do what you want but what type of life is it saying no to things just so your bank balance grows? Your boyfriend sounds like he is the type of person who wants to go places and do things. I think you sound a bit miserly and theres no need to be.
