Lidl Car Park fine...

Hi so today I didn't have any change on me so parked in lidl and vowed to keep the the alloted time of 1hr 30. I'd got my three yr old with me so off we went. I completely lost track of time and when I checked I noticed that it was exactly 11:20 when I should of been at the car at this point! My little one then decided she needed the loo so I had to tke her first then rush back, by this point I'm 8mins over.I'm assuming they will now fine me a ridiculous amount of £90. How they justify that in a lidl car park I don't know. But will o have to o at it? I've read that you don't?

Erm, why do you think you can park for two hours for free?
If you have to rush to the bank or grab a paper from the newsagent, then alright, but a two hour shopping trip?0 -
Did the car park have any terms and conditions that states the car park is for Lidl customers only? I'm afraid you've no recourse other than to pay the penalty charge.0

Ignore the two previous posters OP they are talking rubbish. Read the thread stickied at the top of the Parking Fines forum while you are waiting for a 'Notice to Keeper/Owner' to arrive. This has to arrive quite quickly. All the details are in the Newbies thread and if you follow that you won't be paying anything.0

Thanks for the helpful responses. It stated on their board that you can park free for 90mins 1hr 30 I parked for 1:35 as stated with small child and other errands to run. And upon investigation I've found that legally they aren't binding so therefore I am not going to pay £90 when they haven't lost a penny.0

If you follow the instructions in the Newbies thread it is easy to see them off, but you mustn't ignore it0

Why does having a small child give you extra time?0

You obviously have no children and lack the ability to read. I never said it did. But as something you clearly lack knowledge of, some children like to dawdle, urgently need to use the loo. Etc. But thank you for your helpful insight.0

I have grandchilren but that doesn't give me any more rights. Either way, you don't have to pay it so nothing to worry about0

PM Crabman and get this moved into the correct forum, you won't be asked to justify yourself there.
Except- stop calling it a fine, its nothing of the sort!0
