I hate it! He likes to climb into a freshly fluffed bed... and the fact that it annoys me is just hilarrrrrrrious! If I so much as move his side of the duvet once he's snuggled up though he tells me off! Pfft. :p

Phew! Only thing I haven't done is the drawer and that's because I don't trust myself. You know those days when it's like one step forward and two steps back? Cut my finger folding boxes on a broken plate I had no idea was in there. Scraped my knee polishing the fire place. Tried to air upstairs by opening a window for the wind to pull a canvas clear off the wall and the nail with it :o Even my dinner went wrong as the cheese I thought was meltedy worthy was sneakily hard and disgusting. But, I got everything else on my list done so it wasn't all bad!

PLL is aboslutely terrible, Birdie. So naturally I'm onto season 2. If you want an easy watching show, OH and I are blazing through Community at the moment. We accidentally watched one season which is 24/25 episodes in two evenings.. Although I have a niggling feeling it might have been you who mentioned it to me in passing?!

If there is an offer on them I'll grab you a box, Shrimpy! :) Hoping they go on a deal for £1.50 or £1 so I can stock up. Had to leave my box of them at work so I don't drink them all evening :o If you can get it three mint by Pukka tea is gorgeous!!

Errr, have to admit I'm the annoying faffy one in bed :p OH says sometimes during the night I wake him up because I don't softly turn over like a lady but I seem to actively throw myself in a complete 180 to my other side :o I'm a duvet fluffer too, OH hates it!

    Morning!

My plan for 3 days of a clean home have been thrown into action. Have my Sister over until tomorrow evening, and she always gets oddly house proud of my home while I'm at work and cleans basically everything for me, so everything is double clean :rotfl:

Also fixed our bed for the cost of £24 on some plywood boards over the £50 it was going to cost for replacement slat holders/a few new slats. Mattress no longer droops either side due to us being a little heavy handed and royally screwing the bed over when we were taking it apart in last years move :o

Waiting on a call today from one of the accounts I called to close on Monday as apparently there was an extra payment on the account I'm due to be refunded before they close it.

Also had a letter through to say we're due £12 in electricity credit when I next put credit on our key, put some on yesterday but didn't get the extra pennies. Going to give it 48 hours then give them a bell and see what's crackalackin :)

Was very good with the food shop yesterday and even with needing spices, getting some extra meat, etc I spent £19.80 for the week :money: Decided to cut my losses as I know we don't need anything else before I get paid so put £7.20 into our change pots (spent an extra £3 over our groceries on the electricity credit) :)

Driving my Sister into the city today so she can get her phone sorted, will behave and not buy anything!

Think that's it for an update today! Going to work on my budget for next week as it's a bill-heavy one and I want everything ready to go with OH's birthday meal etc.

    I haven't watched Community, I'll give it a go :)

I am extremely faffy in bed once I'm asleep/trying to sleep, it's just OH who's the annoying one getting into bed. I'm seemingly incapable of clockwise, so even if I want to turn in that direction I have to do a full anti-clockwise rotation to get there! It drives OH mad! :p He likens it to trying to turn the Titanic in bed! :rotfl:

Well done on your listy bits, I'm tired just looking at it all!

Community will blow your mind, Birdie! I got home late last night from picking OH up and basically passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow - but was woken up by OH asking if I wanted to watch an episode. Then, for a little revenge this morning, I woke him up when I got back from my walk asking if he wanted to watch an episode :A It's addictive!

OH is just the same as you, well, almost. He's clockwise and has to do a full turn too. I'm more like a magikarp and flop any which way. With the force of 79 elephants.

Will admit I did end up spending some pennies on Wednesday. Along with making some donations it means I didn't sail into this payday with the £50ish I hoped but more like £15 :o However, I've got my Mum sorted for Mother's Day. OH's birthday card was purchased! Along with maybe another present (I think it's an illness at this stage and I NEED TO STOP)

Had some time to kill before I picked OH up last night. Popped to Asda and got some Nspa goodies for me, my mum and sister as everything was reduced to 50p. Also used some Orchard vouchers in Tesco for 2 big bags of pasta for free. So wound up getting over £50 worth of stuff for £6 :money: Made sure all my Nspa bits were mostly repairing conditioners too as we're down to our last bottle and we have enough Shampoo to probably see us though to 2016 :o

Mince taken out of the fridge for tonight's tea. Making chipotle chilli with sour cream and jalapeno rice :T

    List for today:
    • Defuzz Ryder and Defuzz the kitchen afterwards!
    • Strip bed - try to get bedding dried on the washing line for fragrance magic!
    • Dust and polish Living Room/Bedrooms
    • Clean Bathroom
    • Chase place we're going on holiday for confirmation email
    • Get tea brewing!
    • Sort out budget
    • Scout the garden for wild dog poo
    • Put bread and seeds out for the birds
    • Clean out cupboard under the sink
    • Clear ironing pile
    • Tidy Ryder's room

Forgot I have a freebie in the post today! Had a voucher for a free breakfast Graze box so I best remember to cancel the paying ones over the weekend!

Just waiting for my wages to hit the bank and it's money shuffle time :) Looking forward to OH's payday when we can boost the house deposit!

    Morning!

I meant to post on Monday with an update, but I've been having a weird week which included finding creepy-stalker-esq notes on my desk on Monday morning and I won't lie - it knocked me off kilter! Anyways, it's all sorted now so I'm here for an update :)

Had an accidentally spendy weekend. A multitude of spends that racked up to £65 and made me very glad OH decided he wants to celebrate his birthday on Friday instead of Thursday so I can actually afford to take him out. I need a slap on the wrist and a "must try harder" mark.

Decided to over haul my whole budget and I'm going to work on a different structure these next couple weeks. Rather than working on a monthly scale, I'm going to break everything down weekly. Kind of wish I got paid monthly, had all my bills come out a few days after and what was left after that was what I had for the month. Would be do much easier!

Also decided in March I need to work harder on not spending any money like how I started the year off. I've really slipped back into old habits but using the fact I'm buying for other people as an excuse. Like with spends over the weekend, we would have had a lovely MSE weekend if it wasn't for some impulse purchases. Like I said: Must Try Harder (also leans to: must learn to say no to OH)

OH gets paid tomorrow and we're hoping to get the house deposit up to 11k. Having a spendy few months with the new car, and new furniture, we're both determined to knuckle down even more and save more money.

I completely get where you're coming from with this! So much easier to justify spends on other people! I am celebrating my sister's 30th this weekend (and have bought waaaay too much) but then have a birthday break so will also be reigning it in.

Stalker notes do not sound good? Hope everything is ok? OH left me a note in the shower once saying "I love you, have a nice shower" and frankly that freaked me out! :rotfl:

I'm a bit concerned about these creepy notes too! Hope it was just a joke or a well meaning gesture that back-fired?!

I understand the urge to overspend on your beloved but since you asked for it: stop it! :p

I don't envy you getting paid weekly, I'd really struggle with that! I like to get paid, watch the bills get paid then I know what I've got left for the month!

It's fine now! Was things along the lines of "I am all around you, I know everything about you, I see you in the morning walking your dog" and a bunch of other weird stuff that I'm attempting to forget. Was a joke that went very very wrong. Since then I've just not been able to shake what a boring person I would be to stalk for a long period of time. I'd just get notes through saying things like "You sure eat a lot of crisps"

Pleased to report after my slip up on a third present I did not buy OH any more gifts! (Thanks Birdie :p) He was chuffed with his bits and the promise of nice food later. We also agreed that our meal out tomorrow will be for both our birthdays, as we're both on the same page with trying to save as much as we can this month :)

I keep hinting at my wages being switched to monthly, but no one's biting. I guess for the other guys that work here who are the main bread winners going a month without wages isn't ideal.

Just waiting on OH getting his wage slip today and it's all systems go :T Although he thinks they've tinkered with his commission again so it might be a lower month that we expected :(
