Question about some weekly comps on Regulars board

Options
I have been wondering about one or two of the threads that are on the Regular Comps board. The one in particular I'm thinking of is the weekly Patisserie Valerie Facebook comp - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4805488
but I think I've noticed another few on there that run in the same way.

I quite often post the link and answers on the PV thread but I was wondering if it shouldn't be on the main board, the way that for example the weekly Wallis comp is, or many other one-day, once-a-week comps are? It's pretty hidden away on the Regs board, so I'm sure lots of people are missing out with it being on there.

Do you think I would be treading on anybody's toes if I were to post it each Tuesday as a short-lived comp on the main board, perhaps with a link to the original weekly thread just so all bases are covered?? Or was there some kind of agreement to keep it on regs board??

Don't think many people enter it as its in the Regs.

I don't like them being up there, I listed a few with end date 31/12 ? And they got moved there with date removed. There's ones on there that aren't even running anymore.

I thought everything on main board and that board was for ones that run every week so people can double check on there on the day of the week they fall under and update main board with a bump.

I think it should be a master board of all comps we know run every week, then that way we know what should appear on every day of the week and they aren't missed.

it was really left to the OP of the comp with weeklies wether they posted one ongoing thread on the regs board or were prepared to post it as a new thread on the main board every week, as we do with monthlies

they shouldn't be posted on the main board with an end date of 31/12 and they shouldn't be duplicated on both boards either :)

With reference again to the Patisserie Valerie comp that I mentioned above, if it were to be posted on the main board it wouldn't be ongoing or have an end date of 31/12: for example, today's one would just be listed as E: 09/09 (8pm) - Win a Patisserie Valerie treatbox and would be expired at the end of the day, then a new one posted the following week.

I was just baffled as to why some weeklies were tucked away on there, whereas others such as the Wallis one I mentioned earlier, are posted as a new comp each week. Makes more sense to me to have them all on the main board as their own comp.

Can we delete them of the regular board then and just have them posted each week and hope someone remembers on the main board ?

I personally would think that was great but obv. depends on the hassle to the poster x

I'm perfectly happy to take on posting the PV weekly. I always enter it directly from Facebook first thing on a Tues, before I add the link and answer on here, so it's no bother to make it into a new post each week.
I don't know about the other posts on there, such as the Chewits one that Katie mentioned above, but I'm sure someone would take those on.

Another example , been on there since 2011 and doesn't get bumped

I'm not reliable enough to post each week, but if people were up to offering to look for them each week maybe we could get them deleted from the regular board?

I'm pretty sure that the DP one above gets posted now as a one day comp every week, sure I've seen it on main board anyway. So that one looks taken care of. It's the ones like Chewits, Honeybuns, Jelly Egg etc that I don't think I ever see on the main board and therefore probably lots of other people don't see either!

I have been posting the DP one on Thursdays, didn't even realise it had a thread in weeklies.

Also happy to post the Chewits one and any others :)
