    astounded!!!!!!!!!!1
59.95 , think its because i've got 2 phones. i hope it is anyway.
)i'll nearly kill myself if not). was sweet-talked my a proffessional customer advisor into buying 2 as it was such a good deal.
however, i was led to beleive that orange would charge 15.00 a month for the first 3 months.
    correct me if i'm wrong.
also unable to view itemised bill online.
keep getting response that 'this file does not exist",
after it has asked me if i want to open or save the file.
    any help/advice appreciated
    Nice to save.

You usually pay more in your first bill, you pay the current month and the next month....
It settles down on the 2nd bill.

I,ve also had this overcharging this morning. Orange are charging the full £30 not the £15 due (plus obviously the pro rata part of first 'month'). They are claiming e2save made an error and it's nothing to do with them.

There other scam is itemised billing. You have to give 10 days notice before the billing date to cancel. They set the first billing date less than 10 days after you connect so you are landed with at least a month+some.

If you let them get awya with this you are going to be some £63 worse off over a year. Orange ,of course, will be some £millions better off.

Complain. The so called Director of Customer Services (though interesting he seems to me to want to keep his name secret and not have anything to do with customers) is called Mike Hughes

    mike.hughes@orange.co.uk

and I suggest you copy it to his boss' office via

    victoria.liss@orange.co.uk

As far as e2save are concerned they are staying very quite. Seems a matter for the ASA and trading standards.

    ps to rabiaiones above

they don't like you see your online account in first part month...perhaps because you will then know how many inc mins you have pro rated and your billing date. they won't supply you an account number untill first bill...but you can get it if you have online banking by looking at the DD mandate and it's the originators reference.

The problem is the same with the CPW 6230 offer. Apparently CPW are attempting to sort it out and it will probably mean 2nd,3rd,and 4th bills are £15. Nothing for def. tho!

orange's website says its still 3months 1/2 price on ovp vodafone 200 (http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/yourplan/ovp - select vodafone) so wither they forgot to update the site and forgot to update the retailers or they have messed up the bills - probably the latter.

Kitty - Orange are indeed usually quite slow to setup a new account to see your bills etc over the internet. I had many problems with mine to start with, but on a latest deal I got with them I managed to add it immediately because I was already registered.

I think it's down to Orange Internet People rather than a "con" to not get you to realise your billing dates etc

I just got my first bill for my D500 from e2save on OVP 200 plan. I got the phone last week and immediately cancelled itemised billing. I registered on the website to manage my account. I had to phone the helpline and they gave me my account number(which you need to sign up) no problem.

My itemised bill is available, I got the half price first month etc so no worries yet.

What surprised me was charges for an 0845 number - didn't realise this was'nt included in the free minutes. but it was only 32p so I'll watch that one in future.

Final thing I noticed is that my remaining minutes rolled over and were added to the new 200 minutes!!

I also picked up a neat usb data cable on ebay for just over £5+postage - it can transfer sounds, pictures and also charges the phone.. great!

So looking good so far.. here's hpoing it continues..

I got my d500 this morning, didnt sign for it until i had opened the package to make sure that the phone was actaully in the box, told delivery guy(citylink) about someone on here wwho got sealed package, but when opened no d500, he said a couldnt do anything about it even if i opened it to find no phone as the package was sealed, yer right, no phone and me no sign:).
ANYWAY, have sold the phone for £200 to a mate of mine,so hope i dont have any of these problems with overcharging.
