Confrontation with reckless driver

Thinking about this, I reckon ducksplatter has a good point.
If we ban all substandard (by his definition) cars from overtaking then, next time he comes up behind someone doing 40 in an NSL, there'll be a queue of 20 or 30 diesel Mondeos behind it thanks to his new law. Which will make his big impressive [STRIKE]willy[/STRIKE] engine completely useless unless he wants to get booked for dangerous driving.
You really hadn't thought this through, had you, mate?0 -

Just imagine the queue of cars behind a tractor doing 20 in a NSL :eek:0 -

that will never be a problem as we all know that tractor drivers are law abiding citizens and will comply with rule 169 of the Highway Code
I have also contacted the HMSO to amend rule rule 162 of the Highway Code, it will now read
Rule 162
Before overtaking you should make sure
You are driving a BMW M3
the road is sufficiently clear ahead
road users are not beginning to overtake you
there is a suitable gap in front of the road user you plan to overtake.
the section highlighted in red will be deleted as only BMW M3 drivers are allowed to overtake0 -

It is wrong for most cars on the road (moderately powered 2 liter diesels and petrol's and everything below) to try and overtake because they simply do not have the power to do so in a quick enough time.
If you do not have enough room to overtake, or even if you do...DO NOT.
Utter rubbish0 -

I think you might find that the couple of hundred people running 2002s in various forms (including Tii and turbo) might disagree with you on that :beer:0 -
Darkmatter101 and his ilk probably keep a big broad-tipped felt pen handy so they can black out any mention of the fact that a 4 cylinder DIESEL engined BMW 320d with only 200bhp won the 1998 24hr Nürburgring event.
That way they can continue living in their blinkered V8 petrol-powered dreamland where only they are the true believers/enthusiasts.0 -
Wonder what darkmatter101 makes of the tesla roadster. 0-60 in 3.7 seconds....but 2 litres short of being allowed to overtake.0

Hmmm, Mazda RX8, only 1300cc and as fast as an M5 round the Top Gear track.
His brain would explode if he went on a track day lol0 -
If he follows his own advice regarding used parts in this post, I would rather he overtakes than skids into the back of me.0
