    great for you.

Let us know how much compensation we have to pay you when it is all done?
  • Yes, great for you, Bernie. Unconditional congratulations here, and no grouching about the cost to other taxpayers.

I had my 48 hour callback today, as promised on Tuesday, to tell me that someone else would call me back within 24 hours. I think MyCSP have taken a lead from the callback/action request system used by some CS departments which have a great deal of direct telephone contact with the public, and are at last beginning to realise that you can reduce incoming traffic by keeping promises to return calls, even when you aren't actually progressing a case. Whether that eventually translates to processing payments more promptly remains to be seen.

Glad to hear, let us know when you get your dosh.
  • Well true to their word, MyCSP have honoured what they told me on the phone in the week and I have some money in my bank at last. I should hopefully get a letter today or this week confirming what the amount constitutes so I do feel able to rest a little easier.
I hope that they remember this is an ongoing arrangement amd this is not a one off thing following the chasing I have been doing?
I also hope that those still waiting or trying to sort out overdue payments have some joy soon :)

    Congrats on that.

    But:
Unconditional congratulations here, and no grouching about the cost to other taxpayers.

But we are all taxpayers here and should be groaning at this waste of money.

Has anyone actually managed to extract any money from them for delays in payment?

That is what I have been asking?

I would imagine, apart from interest, any comp would come as part of the complaints process, and I don't know if enough time has passed for those who initially retired under mycsp to go thru the entire process?

So we might have to wait a bit.

Maybe those who have started a formal complaint can let us know?
  • Didn't get my 24 hour callback as promised on Thursday. So I called them this morning and was advised by a very nice lady that in fact I was promised a 48 hour callback, and that I should receive this today.

    Still waiting, at gone 5pm...
  • No phone call yesterday. Will give them today to catch up, then call again tomorrow.

A colleague of mine who retired two weeks before I did has just received her lump sum and pension, so I'm hoping that something more substantial than promises will materialise by the end of this month.
  • well after many months and several telephone calls I finally received an email telling me that I will be getting my lump sum soon - 5-10 after it is due. Not good. I have logged complaints and a request for a small amount of compensation to see what happens. I will of course post my result on this here.
Once you start this process make sure that you log everything and I also suggest that you sent confirmation of the telephone call including the name of the person you dealt with. This can be used as evidence later if required.
I don't actually blame the people that I was in contact with, some were very helpful, or were as helpful as MyCSP's procedures allow them to be. I do however think that those at the top of this organization should be held accountable and offer a public apology to all of their customers (yes we are customers after all) via a letter to all members of the scheme and their members of staff as they have been placed in an intolerable situation.
One final comment, they are not the only incompetent pension administrators out there, Co-Op investments have just be taken over and so far seem to be almost as bad as MyCSP.
