I went with him for the biospy, it went ok, he only needed 3 hrs rest, I cam home after the procedure, then picked him up.

Back to the oncologist today, this seemed to be one of the hardest days I have had, (I know wasn't much better for dad).

Hearing it as offically - As you have cancer its pallative care, do you want to hear time or not.... Que tears from me.

Without chemo - 6/12nths, with 12 weeks of chemo - (if all goes ok - he can tolerate it / works) - up to 3 yrs.

He still doesn't want mum or my daughter to know at the mo. Were going to wait till we get a chemo date, at the mo - apart from this thread (more a way to get my thoughts across) theres 2 people that know, my best friend, and a very lovely lady who we have got to know - from the site - never met her and her family, but she is a lady in a million, was an amazing support.

I just wish there was something positive that I could do, a magic wand to make it go away.

Its just a can of worms thats bursting to be open, a pressure cooker waiting to explode...
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

We've had a mixed day, had a call this morning asking if we could come in for an appointment with the head oncologist - as u can imagine panic sets in.

    It's an odd one....

the results of the biospy were ready - they wanted the rumour that is against the skin testing - the doctor took 2 samples - they have come back as cancer free - while we wanted to get the flags out and celebrate - they want the bisopy re-done to see if they can get a sample further in ....

If and this is a big if - if this area is not cancer it gives us some breathing space - although the cancer is present in the lung and the other bit of the bowel.

As for chemo - he was due to start in Jan - there putting it on hold till we can get some answers.

He has the camera on sat - there waiting to see what that shows up - as to whether or what caused the internal bleed - if that is clear then they will arrange the camera to go through his stoma.

It feels like we have been given a Christmas miracle - whether it buys us any more time we don't know, but it's one less worry for now xx

the cat is out of the bag now, family argument and DD blurted out she knew dad was ill, so it came out, not all the ins and out, just that cancer is an option (even thou its there in small manor at mo), I had DD breaking down, mum went hysterial, how it was my fault... I was stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, to an extent I still am.

Mum wont cope if tonight is anything to go by, even when he was in hospital last year she was in heck of a state, and it was me trying to keep everything together,

We're see what Sat brings... we go back to see the oncologist in Jan,

for now, were taking it day by day.. x

Dad had his camera today, we were waiting nearly 2hrs past his appointment
The good news they found a stomach ulcer which is the culprit, he has to have some more meds off the doc and with a view to go back in 6 weeks for a repeat of the camera.

Touch wood - his next app the middle of Jan so hopefully get through with no hassle X
