What annoys me a lot more is parents who give their kids packets of sweets/crisps to eat whilst the parent goes round the supermarket, and they pay for an empty packet at the till. Mine were always taught that you couldnt have it until it had been paid for. That lesson seems to have gone by the board with these parents.

Men urinate anywhere and everywhere, the Dad is just showing them how it is.

Bit of a sweeping generalisation, don't you think? None of the men I've ever known urinate "anywhere and everywhere" and it certainly is not "how it is".

Toddlers, I have no problem with (hopefully the parent will have the common decency to hide them from view as much as possible though, for the sake of minimal privacy). Grown ups, it's just disgusting. Thankfully those that do remain a very small minority.

Seriously you expect a two year old to hold it until they get to a loo ?

Teaching toddlers that accidents at that age or getting caught short is disgusting is an unusual parenting style to put it mildly.

I think its disgusting. Having daughters i would not whip down their pants and let them squat in the street. I just dont get why its acceptable for boys. Learn to hold it, til you get to a loo. It seems to be common of late, i often see men on the side of the road, peeing up the bank, not even trying to hide behind a tree/bush

I wouldn't say disgusting but inappropriate. It is though totally disgusting to see adults relieving themselves in public.

Sometimes with a tot there's just no other option. It would be cruel to let them wet themselves.

Adults should usually be able to avoid it, but there is a shocking lack of public toilets around, and holding it for too long is not healthy so I don't get too worked up if an adult is so desperate they need to duck behind a hedge or something.

You've never stopped on the side of the road for a wee? It's hours and hours with no toilets on the roads round here - field entrance it has been!

I don't see any harm in this as long as the food is paid for at the till before you leave the shop.. I often do my shopping, and pop a bottle of water in the trolley, then drink it when I am shopping, and pay for it at the till.

I literally see no harm in it. I pay for it before I leave the shop.

Letting a child have a pee on the side of the road is kind of normal, a few weeks back though I was getting into the car after doing some shopping (Tesco) and saw a father take down his little boys trousers and let him pee on the path near the doors, the toilets are roughly no more than a couple of seconds away, walk in and the toilets are the first thing there. Couldn't work out why he just didn't whisk him off to the loo

Kids of that age, especially at toilet training phase just have to go when they have to go, and that's that. Doing it against a tree is way better than them having an 'accident' and the fact they they alerted you to needing to go is important to the training process/progress so an ignorant fool in a passing car can just.. do one.

I was talking about peeing in public in an urban setting. Stopping by the side of the road in the countryside and going behind a hedge with no chance of being seen by anyone obviously is fine and nothing to worry about, I've done it a couple of times. It's not like squatting and peeing in the middle of the pavement in town.
