LLoyds TSB VISA - being finished

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this (I did do a quick search). But I had a LLoyds TSB AMEX and Mastercard DUO (Airmiles) card turn up today. Turns out Lloydstsb have finished the contract with Visa and everyone is migrating to amex and MC.

So i'm off to another visa card from someone else - I don't want an amex - that won't do nicely card) - and i keep my MC with a low limit for online use only.

Nice to have to ring them to find out why a Amex was sent to me !

    cos its a duel card
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
  • LloydsTSB are sending letters to 2.8 million customers affected by the migration.

Obviously, there are going to be a percentage of letters that go missing via the postal service.

Lloyds still do offer a MasterCard Card in its own right, so if you didnt want the DUO Product, you could ask for just the MasterCard (although it will be a completely different product range)

There is basically no difference between Visa and MasterCard Card Products!

I got those two cards last week. Cut them up and will be canceling the relationship in writing. They should have asked instead of waisting so many resources.
  • The letters should go out and have enough time for those customer who do not want the product to either

A - Come to an alternative lending agreement with the Bank
B - Terminate Relationship before card products are sent

If you havnt received or havnt responded to the letter, Lloyds will take the position that you want the DUO product and send cards out accordingly.

They no longer do Visa credit cards only Mastercard (and the Amex).

It is up to you whether you wish to continue using the cards or not but the transfer of your account details from Visa to Mastercard was seamless (and advised in writing some months ago).

Never got that letter. And I keep everything I get. Well, even before I got those cards my plan was to cancel as they refused to offer a new 0% deal.

Mastercard are taking over Visa cards left, right and centre. How come it never happens the other way?

    Money.
    Visa are being greedy.
  • I've got a letter some time ago, saying I'll get new cards after next statement, but still not received anything. I hope the transfer is seamless, because I don't want to get caught without CC.

Do they keep the limit from visa?
