  • supersaver - at xmas just turn your holiday settings on, move shipping time to the appropriate number of days and change it to 2nd class postage and then you will not get people complaining. I closed for 11 days and did not get a single issue, I sent an auto-response email pointing out I was on holiday and would ship week commencing xx that they could cancel if it was too long to wait. I can home to £1000 worth of sales and one cancellation of sale which was £6.
  • I came to update this.

I went down to delivery office to see the manager who wrote his name on the piece of paper but he was 'not in' so I left my details and the invoices for every parcel that was missing.

Today, someone else called me - the manager had passed it to him to deal with. However, he was dealing with it and was very concerned - and also confused. 5 of the parcels have now arrived, including one that has reached the US. They checked there was no issue with my PPI number and that the post was not being held, it wasn't. They have passed it to (I think he said) revenue protection for further investigation. For any that not have not arrived within 2 weeks I have to send in a claim form for the missing mail and I will be compensated but I have to send the paperwork to him and he will deal with it for me. He was really nice and apologetic about it. So, finally I feel that I am getting somewhere and that someone is taking me seriously. Huge relief.

The man I went to see on Tuesday sees me pretty much every day when I drop the mail in and he said he would ensure it was dealt with. It was really nice not to be fobbed off this time, I will be honest. Will see what happens. Maybe they will start arriving shortly.

One of the posters on that link has the same problem as the OP. Sounds just like them.

After getting down to just ONE defect in 3 months I have 5 cases opened this week for Items Not Received.

So, are people too impatient all of a sudden or are the Royal Mail rubbish this week and deliveries are taking longer. no-one has used the 'other' form, just INR.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I closed for 2 weeks start of August, not a sausage and no claims opened for INR, everyone was more than happy to wait, but since September 1st I have had 5 claims opened for non-arrival, todays 'INR' was for an item sent 1st class on WEDNESDAY. WTH, it has been 2 days!!???? Last one just got a narky message for opening the case so quickly.

I think I am just going to ban anyone that opens these cases so quickly from bidding on my items ever again.

Ebay has made loads of things really stupid though.
Most buyers don't realise they're opening a case, now, they just think they're asking the seller a question.

All of Monday's mail is missing. I have had 2 more messages (thank goodness just messages) asking where items are and no feedback at all for those items. I've apologised to the last buyer who opened a case and it's fine.

I am so peed off - as I have a business account I get no refund for it, not only have I lost the stock but if it is not found I'll have to do £500 in refunds and the postage cost me £60. So that is around £800. I am gutted.

I am contacting me all of the buyers now, I have to email every postal address of the items to the manager at RM and then I am off to sit in the corner and weep and hope they find them.

I am not sure what I was honestly more stunned at, the fact that the RM
manager did not even know what my sales order confirmation was (when I showed him the confirmation he asked what is that and where did you get it from, also, he did not even know what Worldwide Par
cel Zone 2 was!!!) as I hand one of them in every day with my post so what are they doing with it, or that he said 'I don't know what to do about this'. I told him he needed to find out where it was.

I didn't receive an item recently and the seller said that she'd had a few other inr's - def seemed like a bag had gone missing because I've never received it. Must check what Asda she was posting from.

Oh yes please, if she is is from the same office and posting date I would like to pass it on. I have had an email for the US and notice another US feedback so they have arrived. It's just uk I have problems with. It is rather odd. Will message customers Monday to find out if it arrived and file the forms as the manager told me to if not. It's just the sheer number of hours I have spent on this is ridiculous.
  • Called into DO today to speak to Manager and update him as some things have started arriving Saturday just gone. He told me that another bag of mail. taken to SO the same time as mine, also did not arrive. His items started arriving on Saturday but again, very slowly and drips and drabs.

I must admit, I am very confused. I'm not sure how £500 + £60 = around £800, for a start. Also, if you're not following the correct PPI procedure re. putting in the paperwork, this may be causing your issue. But as you don't seem to be able to explain anything clearly, then no wonder the RM are unable to assist you? I'm glad for you that you will be being compensated, but wary that you are being compensated when you paid for a service without any compensation - does this mean prices will have to go up for the rest of us who manage not to have any issues, I wonder?
