The whole point of this scheme is because you get 17 year olds that look 33 and 33 year olds that look 17.

OP, Put it down to experience, move on and if you don't have any form of ID, then apply below.

Daddy wasn't going to get you any booze, it made you look like you were 12 instead of 330 -

This is an example of the signs that have been around for over a decade that I'm amazed some people seem to don't know exist!0 -
What's with the pride and masculinity bit?
Do you really think that people do not carry photo ID for those 2 reasons?
No but if you get ID'd accept it and go and get it, rather than a) go back with your mum, or kick up a fuss. The masculinity and pride referred to the fact that in my personal experience, only men every took offense to being ID'd...
Also, if a cashier asks for ID where I worked, the manager would NEVER override it, so kicking up a fuss wouldnt get you your booze. The only thing that will would be ID showing you are over 18.0 -
OP you are so full of yourself, my wife works on Asda checkout and has to deal with people like you on a daily basis. If she sold to someone underage she would be in big trouble, they do get tested on a regular basis with stooges like yourself with no ID. If I got asked for ID I'd take as a compliment. In the US you have to show ID even if you are 70. Try put yourself in their position, they DO NOT like being harassed by idiots like yourself.0

I know the state of Tennessee has the state law of must show ID regardless if how old you are. Even when going out for a meal, everyone that is drinking alcohol is asked. Been to Tennessee and was forewarned about this.
Some have the state law of if you look under 50 and you are asked for ID. In these states, you would be cheesed off if you weren't asked for ID if you were 36.0 -

I then returned to Asda later that day with my father to try and purchase alcohol. My father was then refused the sale as they knew it was for me. My father then asked to speak to the manager and the checkout supervisor then came across and the situation was explained to him. He also said that I didn't look over 25. My father then asked to speak to his boss and a woman came over who was also in agreement after having explained the situation that I also looked under 25. Whilst in discussion with the checkout supervisor's boss the guy advised us that "if we didn't like it to shop at Morrisons" Which came as a total shock to me. We were then spoken to Andy Roberts who is the duty manager at Asda and Andy gave us the same response about challenge 25 and how the checkout operative was right. Whilst this discussion was taking place two security guards were hovering over us & after words were exchanged we were manhandled and escorted out of the premises. My point is that If I was underage when it came to buying alcoholic beverages or if I appeared underage then I wouldn't attempt to buy it, Nor would I purchase alcohol If I was with my father. Due to said shopping experience will now use other supermarkets as advised by one of your employees and that Myself, My friends & family will no longer be going to Asda. I am also thinking of going to the police as I disliked being physically forced out of the premises.0

I have witnessed myself twice and know of another occasion where adults have been refused alcohol in Asda because they are with their kids and it may be for them. Im talking about 11 or 12 year olds which I find odd because it is legal for a child aged five to 16 to drink alcohol at home.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0

Probably a bit draconian, but there are definitely 11/12 year olds that drink outside of the home sadly!0 -
