And with all the due respect that you know I have for you, there is sentimentality involved. That's not wrong, it's human nature. You maybe lack sentimentality because of the way you think? Which isn't wrong.....just different

No, no, no, no, no! I thought the UK was already part of the EU? Or does you mean we are not, because of the opt-outs? Anyway, this is going onto a whole new area and, I'm only keen to avoid it because I want to draw us back to MSE - I could go on and into great detail about it and discuss it all if anyone wanted, just that I don't feel this is the place.0 -

It would be an absolute better place. (Actually I'm assuming the world was run by, etc., as we would be appalling negotiators on the international stage.) But, if it was run by autistic people, it would be done on the basis of well considered and proper evidence, with every detail probably and completely attended to, and without emotion or irrational things having influence and effect. We would not have to play politics - indeed, we could not. The world would be a fair, just and equal place in which everyone was respected and had equality. "Strong sense of social justice." We used to fight over who was getting to lick the spoon and pot after it was ready and every time we ended up with burnt tongues  :rotfl:...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

:kisses3: I agree with some of that. But emotions are a very important part of life too, just as important as detail.

It is a big decision. And HM The Queen is right - people should think very carefully. But they should also not be afraid to jump into the unknown and to vote Yes.
If you think it's a gamble...but gambles can pay off!
To my mind, it's a gamble staying with what we currently have.
(In fact, staying with 'what we currently have' is not an option. There will be change through the powers (allegedly) to be given to Scotland in the event of a 'no'. It's a gamble as to whether those will get implemented or not watered down, and gambling on whether the three leaders will follow their 'vow'. Two words have, of course, been already said in respect of one of those there: tuition fees.)
Anyway, I've done and moving to something else (i.e. away from the independence debate). Unless you want otherwise!;)0
