I am about to post the most controversial thing I've ever written on here.

My heart goes out to the suffering that these poor dogs have gone through but my heart also goes out to the child who (allegedly) committed arson.
He is a child and we know nothing about his circumstances but already there are calls for his head:o
Some children in this country are raised in the most unimaginable circumstances. Poverty, abuse and neglect can warp and scar a child for life. Some live in conditions not fit for an animal.I don't believe that people are born evil but people can perform evil acts. That doesn't mean that we should write them off.

I hope he is getting the hugs he needs right now.

:A:A you made me cry TM said I was feeling blue..... I think none of us have thought of the child and the fact he is now one of the most hated people , my oh said we dont know he meant do burn it all down and he has to live with it now,,,

I've just sent off my gas/electricity reading for the month.

Random post, I know ...but I also know I'm not alone in forgetting to submit them :o

It was pretty pointless this time though because when I logged in to do it it said "we will call to perform a meter reading at your property on 15/09" :rotfl:

Using the scanner is great for buying discounted wine....it keeps a good running total.
The bad news is that by using it,T have entered me into their daily raffle draw.

I can win a Big Night In Meal Deal:rotfl:

If I win it I promise you that I will not be choosing the korma or the Jalfrezi:rotfl:

    Loved reading this :T:T

Makes me sad reading the problems that people are having :( I have to say my experience has been mostly positive. All the teachers we've dealt with over the years have gone well above and beyond. My battles came down to funding and nothing else.
This was solved by stalking the LEA, being relentless and never taking no for an answer :D I once heard staff at the special needs dept at the LEA arguing over who was going to speak to me this time......I was supposed to be on hold but someone forgot to press the right button :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All I can say to those going through it is keep fighting. It can be soul destroying but worth it. My DS now has one to one support full-time, IT equipment to use in class and all the other support he needs, and he does need it. He only has it because I fought like a demon to get it.

So good to hear that you got what your ds needed fc :) It does give hope that my ds will get the help he needs, I just have to keep pushing. Trouble is - I'm a lover not a fighter :rotfl:and I normally don't like to be too vocal but I have to get over it and speak up. This is far too important to roll over and be trodden on.

This is the thing, strewth. I'm not one to push either and tend to believe what I'm told by those in authority. Well maybe I am now, but I wasn't then.

Also our main problem was that we didn't realise we had a problem! DD1 was a lively, bright, well behaved little girl. Walking at 7 months, talking perfectly at 1, imaginative and the natural leader amongst her many cousins. It was a real shock when she struggled to learn to read.

It is only with hindsight that you realise how much you have to push. It really shouldn't be like that.....
