  • My hampers are nearly finished. I just got to get a few bits for the brother in laws and then that will be done. I have done a big one for hubby all with dove men skin care and wash stuff including razors etc. includes a nice grey flannel to keep with the colour scheme. Got moisturiser, shave stuff, body wash, deodorant, aftershave etc. I had such good deals on them including some freebies I have been sent so thought I would make it into a big hamper. It's lovely.

Brother in law is having a music hamper. Bought a music quiz game ( jan boots sale) with a I tunes gift card. Beer, chilli nachos, salsa, chilli peanuts.

I have done a big hamper for my close friend with Yankee tarts, tart burner, tea lights, wine, chocolates, wine chiller, a lovely plaque with a friendship quote.

My kids get their Christmas Eve hampers with the normal pjs, sock, slippers. Got them each a three box stack full of smellies ( boots jan sale) hot chocolate, DVD, mug, goodies from mark and spencer, etc so will be busy over next fortnight putting them all together.

How about a gift card placed in an empty dvd case or print out a list of the 'top 100 films' online (from imdb or somewhere) to put in the hamper and buy them the first one from it?

Hello, I've not read the entire thread, so apologies if this has already been mentioned.

Tesco have the small 18cl wine bottles on 4 for the price of 3 at the moment. The offer of 25% off any 4 bottles of wine also worked when I shopped this morning. So I got 4 bottles at £1.99 each, minus £1.99 for the free one, minus another £1.99 for the percentage offer. Effectively buy one get one free :j

    Hope that helps someone xx

Thank you so much for this I was planning to do my friend a Waitrose Hamper but I've been struggling to find a basket why didn't I think of looking at Waitrose site?

Thats a great idea thanks, I'm pinching it too!! I'd already thought of cutting down an Amazon gift card to fit into a dvd case but top 100 films list is a brilliant extra idea!!

BTW for anyone wanting some cheap but larger containers for hampers I saw some lovely ones in ikea Drona box £2.50 33x38x33 cm in variety of colours and patterns inc festive red and green.

Thanks to everyone for some great ideas here, this year I'm doing cinema, simple beauty products, star gazing and cyclists hampers.
