Just been looking at the hampers on BHS. No way would I pay their prices but I may copy the gin and tonic lovers hamper they do. They charge £20 for 2 small Fentimenns ready mixed gin and tonic with a gin goblet glass.
You can buy the gin and tonic for £3 each in Sainsburys and a glass would only be a £1 or so. Would be nice for other spirits as well.Money SPENDING Expert0 -

Love all your amazing hamper ideas..hope I can pick your brains for a hamper idea please!
My friends son is Nutella mad so I'm buying him a personlised tub from selfridges £3.99 which isn't too bad! I was going to do a themed hamper but didn't want it full of choc (dont want to be responsible for a trip To the dentist!)
Any ideas for a theme based around the Nutella?
Thanks in advance :j
The book people or amazon have the nutella recipe book. I got it for mynutella mad dd, and have made up a mini hamper containing: book, large jar of nutella, some individual nutella packs, waffles, digestive biscuits, a personalized butter knife (for spreading) and a plain white tea plate which I have painted a pic of the nutella jar onto!
All my hampers are completed, just need to get around to cellophane & ribbon wrapping them now! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Can anyone tell me how to use pintrest? I have set up an account but am baffled as to how it works.
Also, was thinking about making a bath time hamper for my 2 nephews. They are 3 years old. Now just got to think what to put in it0 -

I'm not sure if it differs in anyway on an android phone or on the desktop but I use Pinterest as an iphone app mostly as a scrapbook where I collect lots of ideas together to save for future reference and inspiration. You can pin things from websites or your own images, you can re-pin and 'like' other people's pins, search keywords etc. I'm not great at explaining so here's a link http://www.realsimple.com/m/work-life/technology/how-to-use-pinterest
Bath crayons are great for little ones!maybe a magic flannel, you know the small compact circles then you put them in the water and they expand to full size. Rubber ducks or other toys to pour water in and out of? And you could wrap it up it one of those bath toy hammocks

Hi, all.. love the hamper inspiration. brilliant ideas and all of them really thoughtful.
I have used large charger plates in the past for making foodie hampers, you can get nice Xmas glitterly ones in Dunelm or some of the pound shops.. I simply placed all the items strategically, in a fan, filled the gaps with shredded tissue paper & wrapped in cellophane with bows and ribbon. Takes a bit of coordination but they looked nice!
Am keen to try making some items myself this year too like fudge and anything else that will keep. Do you think it's just as cost effective to make it instead of picking it up in the supermarket/discount shops?

Ditto re the Chargers they sound a great idea. I always do a food hamper for a neighbour I usually use a shoe box and shredded tissue paper to bulk it upwards, I've got a foodie one to do for a friend so may well borrow the charger idea thank u xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Lidl have their rolls of cellophane in store now. 99p for 10 metres x 0.7 metres wide in clear, gold star, red star, white snowflake and one with writing on but not sure what it said. Thanks to Ruth_honey on the Stop the Cavalry thread for the heads up. I've been and bought mine and it's really good quality. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
