Some lovely sounding hampers on this thread, lots of great inspiration. I'm making a Despicable Me hamper for my niece who is minion crazy, so far I have a cushion, calendar, socks & sweets. Any other suggestions would be appreciated however she has quite a lot of stuff already. Was also thinking of a James Bond theme for BIL as I picked up some 007 aftershave recently on offer, now I can't find anything else to go with it?

B and M have a minion bag at 6.99 which we gave to our grandson for his birthday - went down a real treat. They seemed to have a few minion things there... Good luck x

Morning, some great ideas on here, yesterday I picked up a metal ice bucket from home bargains for £2.99 and am going to make a nice wine based pamper hamper for stepmum using the bucket as base for hamper.

  • Hi everyone!

Love all your amazing hamper ideas..hope I can pick your brains for a hamper idea please!

My friends son is Nutella mad so I'm buying him a personlised tub from selfridges £3.99 which isn't too bad! I was going to do a themed hamper but didn't want it full of choc (dont want to be responsible for a trip To the dentist!)

Any ideas for a theme based around the Nutella?

    Thanks in advance :j

Hi I haven't started and have lots to buy but this year I have just decided to do hampers but first I need the containers, I will want something say double shoe box size, but where do I get them? and I don't want to pay a fortune ,, any ideas where to look.. thanks

I actually saw a hamper making set that included the basket in B&M but didn't notice the price sorry & I think Wilkos have something similar too although I really like the idea of the container being part of the present. The ice bucket for the wine hamper is an excellent idea cattysmum :T ... I've always wanted an ice bucket!

Going to make a USA hamper for my soon to be 12 year old son as we go on holiday there most years.
Going to try and pick up a plastic popcorn bucket and put in
Mountain Dew (not normally allowed it but a treat)
    Hershey's
    DVD?
Going to look for USA/Disney themed drinking glass.

    Looking for more inspiration.

  • I'm not one with big ideas when it comes to xmas. However, I've enjoyed making up hampers last year.

I didn't buy any containers or baskets, I just bought nice gift bags, some tissue paper and made hampers using those items. Would rather fill cheap gift bags with extra gifts, than spend part of my budget on baskets and containers.
  • Fabulous ideas here! :) I'm going to wrap up on the sofa tonight and start making notes on what to put together for people!

Looking for some ideas for my 18yo brother. What I'd like to do is put together a new game survival pack- basically everything a lad would want for an all nighter with a new PS4/Xbox game (without the game! I'm not made of money and he'll no doubt get one from mum or Christmas money! :))

In thinking energy drinks, Pringles.. That's as far as I get I'm afraid so if anyone has some ideas for me that'd be brilliant! I'd also love to print out my own labels with '50 XP' or revival potion or something on it!

Thanks in advance for any help :)

You could search on Pinterest for Nutella recipes, there are probably millions! Pick out your favourite and put together the recipe and ingredients in a hamper for him to make? I realise this is full of chocolate like you didn't want! Sorry :) good luck

    Hmm a tricky one!
How about a pack of egg waffles he could have warmed up with Nutella on?

A butter knife to be his own Nutella spreading knife?
