  • OK - it was a seriously bad idea to go out for my friends birthday last night, drink wine and cocktails and have a late night when I knew I had to work on job number 2 today. Especially when OH was getting up early to start knocking the tiles off the kitchen.

Have managed (with a struggle) to do 5 hours work on the laptop. Sorry ladies, I cant read and absorb any of your posts. I am now offically about to crash out on the sofa and sleeep.

Late as usual.yesterday I finally bleached bathroom and toilet, they are 2 separate rooms. Walls, floor and tiles all done. Bath panel fixed on again, hope this time it stays on, and bath and loo now sparkling. Paintwork on stairs done and washing machine fed and emptied, got it out on line, dried and put away. No chance of drying on line today it's been pouring down non stop. So washing will have to go on creel on landing. Should be sewing or knitting but might save that till this evening when DH and DD are watching the dreaded X.
Still very warm even though it looks like Autumn. Farm shop meat and veg got from local farm shop, it lasts longer and I am not tempted to throw extras in so ends up being cheaper.
Seriously trying to stick to meal plans to cut budget.
Bread maker on and yogurt maker finished and in fridge.
Hugs, spoons and chocolate to anyone who needs them.

    Furball very productive, well done.

I've been shopping and dropped DS3 at the cricket club. Loosing my mojo now so I'll get the cake baked for taking to the party tonight so that is at least done.

Not sure whether today's been productive or not....
    We have:
    • Let dogs out into garden, given them their brekkie
    • Been into town for meds, F&V, visit cashpoint and book audiologist appointment
    • Dys0ned the whole bungalow (Mr LW entertained the Hairy Hooligans outside)
    • Prepped enough carrot'n'orange for 4 cakes and froze it in 1-cake's-worth containers
    • Changed bedlinen
    • 2 x WM loads done
    • Given dogs another game outside, groomed them and given them their dins
    • Had $ky bloke in - faulty dish now replaced, so my blissful 2 weeks with no tv is at an end:cool:
    Is this progress, d'ya think?:D

not half LW you've done loads *is in awe*

Have been to post v. urgent letter. Got to postbox (just up the road) and it had gone early so went to PO at local shops and posted it there.
Been to Foodmarket (quillion popped by and I was telling her about DD *sob* and she gave me a hug. I thought of all of you and your support as she hugged me. I would bnever have met her but for this thread) and my friend bought me lunch and her mum bought me a bar of chocolate!
Have now taken DD into work. She has handed in her notice today so that makes it even more (a) real and (b) imminent. She wanted a transfer but they couldn't accomodate her. Will be sad to see my discount card go!
Have stripped my bed and put it in WM but as it's raingin I will wash it later. Today's washing is waiting to be dried but forecast is good for tomorrow so that's when I shall peg it all out.

Shall iron and make my bed and see what else I can get done.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

  • Question: What is the best vacuum for picking up hair?

DD and I both have long thick hair. It gets everywhere. My current, cheap vacuum doesn't touch it - I had a D*son before but it died :(

Would I be better off getting a pet vacuum?!

    Thanks for any suggestions x
