Finally ready to do my tax return, let's hope the online system plays nicely, then I'm on a mission to bully DH to do his!

ETA - done! Still need to do one for my Mum and see if DS1 needs to do one but mine is done (and they owe me a little bit of cash so even better)

Morning all, sorry I wasn't around yesterday but really hectic day. We're getting that allotment and going to go over today to do some clearing up; I'm looking forward to it!

So far J has taken S to football, I've got Z to do some homework and also I've done some paid work. Loaded DW, WM doing the whites but I hope they come out white. S made a right mess of his white polo shirt so put some of that Vanish Gold stuff on. He trashes his shirts in record time; little monster :D. Feeling quite motivated but horribly bloated; AF came yesterday and is making her presence felt so mooching around in comfy cord leggings and a baggy top looking like a bag lady!

Dusty well done with tax return! I've got to send my stuff to accountant to do; must ring BS to send me tax deduction certificate thingy.

Jazee how many dogs have you got? They're great to have aren't they. We've got 2 but not sure how long for as Pip our JRT is going downhill :(.

Pigpen that's awful that chap threatened you; no wonder you trade by post etc. I don't like people coming around and if I do sell anything by Trade-it or something I always make sure J is around. Enjoy your knitting :)!

Shell2001 I can't believe that about your daughter; that's shocking  - I hope they catch the little so and so who did it. She's lucky it's not broken but ligaments are really painful aren't they, not what she needs.

Best get on as J will be back soon so better tidy the kitchen a bit more .... don't want him to think I've been swanning around on here - [STRIKE]which I have![/STRIKE]

    Morning all

Total and utter panic here as I have realised we haven't properly applied for DD's student finance. I *think* it was because her chosen course was an NHS one, with a bursary. So I have printed off the form (we'll gloss over the fact that, because DS is 'in the system' they HAVE ALL my details' and I have got it ready to send. But I have had to dash to the hardware shop (bliss - it's ancient, traditional and smells exactly like they did in my childhood) for a photocopy (5p!) of my Decree Absolute. I'm now ready to post it!

(Note to self - get MORE copies of said Decree - I have already sent it TWICE for DS!)

Had a great day yesterday - the sculpture exhibition was superb (especially Damian Hirst's stunning angels) and I still managed to get alomost everything off my list done.

This morning I have packed DH and his lunch off to the railway for a long day's work and have dealt with 3  molehills, mown the lawn, tidied the garden and done WMx2. Still to do:
    - 1 phonecall
    - 1 email
    - WMx1 and hang out all washing
    - tax return (well done Dusty!)
    - write birthday cards
    - trim kitchen voile
    - clean downstairs
    - take in the side seams and waistband of my linen trousers *again* - they now fall right off my hips
    - print out accounts for AGM
    - prepare food for tomorrow (we have friends coming to lunch)
    - cook our evening meal and bake a cake at the same time

Anything else will be a bonus :D

Laundry in from the line and airing in the dryer.. I have no space for it to be on airers for any time at all.

    OH minced the grass.

Compost bin emptied.. FLING!!! .. that can get itself on freecycle, crappy things.

I now have two dogs as my lovely SickDog died 10 months ago today...can you tell I still miss her like mad!...anyway OldDog is now 14 and LittleDog is a 3 year old Westie.

I have done everything on my list for today despite regular heavy downpours here. A second walk will no doubt be short and between showers.

So...how to spend the afternoon. I've just had a quick lunch, but I think another cuppa is in order while reading the papers (still catching up from Thursday) and then I'll look at what's outstanding from this week's list. Although I'm quite happy with what I've achieved in each room this week.

Not sure I'll be this relaxed next weekend though after a week working in London most of the time.
Spend less now, work less later.

  • Hello all

    WM on
Wallpaper still on the wall in the kitchen :(
    CoD decluttered
Thermal base layers unpacked (sp0rts d1rect had a fantastic sale on) ready for my lights trip
    Wardrobe decluttered

Need to drop clothes off to CS and go into town. Plus the aforementioned wallpaper removal.

    Have a great day all
