Me & OH have been working so much the last few weeks that the house has become a complete mess! I have today & tomorrow off so it's time for a big cleanup. My jobs for the next 2 days include:

Tidy the study (paperwork and clothes all over the place :o)
Clean all windowsills/general surfaces (tables, sideboards etc.)
    Hoover everywhere
    Wash kitchen & bathroom floors
    Clean sinks, toilets & bath
Deep clean the shower & go over the grout with some grout revive stuff we bought months ago!
Empty & wash cat's litter box
    Empty all bins
Organise my uni paperwork into the new folder I bought
General tidy up & put away of stuff in the living room
    Unload & reload the dishwasher
Put on a load of laundry & hang to dry straight away
    Wash all towels
Change the bedding & remake the bed
Sort through, clean & empty fridge & cupboards
    Clean the oven
    Clean kitchen appliances

Non-cleaning jobs to do: dye my hair, make my birthday cake :T (need to find somewhere to buy decorating supplies) & pack for going away for the weekend.

    Better get going I think!

    Thanks for the company greent.

Quite productive for me. Bedroom is finished. Even cleaned the windows! There is a building site opposite us at the moment and the front windows are getting filthy. Have also put clean clothes away, 2 x wm and 1 x dw!
Having lunch with my boy and then on with the bathrooms, they aren't too bad so should just be a quick once over, but to get through three still takes a while! I will be pleased to get 'Wednesday' done by school pick up day.
Right ds1 back at school now so all is very chilled at home with me and ds2. I am looking at Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lists and seeing what I can get done as I have planned a stay at home day to catch up!

Well done on all your achievements Frizzle! :D

I did all the 'DONE' stuff below in our bedroom and bathroom (the children clean their own bathrooms on a Sat morning - the teens do it whilst the smallies are at swimming lessons) I also cleared my floordrobe, hung it all up/ put in wash and retrieved an embarrassing number of empty coathangers from my wardrobe. I also put away all our underwear and non-hanging ironing (eg tshirts, jeans etc) and put 4 pairs of my boots and shoes away and 2 handbags..:o Finally I wrapped 2 presents for a birthday in a week's time. Took me just over the HH but it looks much better now.

Now eating soup (made whilst smallies were playing before school this morning :D) and then I'll crack on again. Unsure whether to tackle more list or shove some things on fleabay!

    Week's tasks:
Charity paperwork - spent about 4 hours on this so far....
    PTA & Charity banking
Expenses - me - charity ones
    Expenses me - 'work' ones
    Book eyebrows appt for me!
Write Toots list for house and garden :) - started
    Chase DD's EHIC card!
BOOK HIRE CAR FOR OCT HOL
    Chipsaway for my car
Deliver big pile of craft stuff to friend - tried to whilst taking a big pile of charity stuff out - but she wasn't in

Sounds like we are having a busy day! Hope Moomins appointment goes well, pigpen

DD and I have bought 100 plug plants :T we have polyanthus, primula and pansy! I've just planted about 60 in the patio wall and Dd wants to help with the rest after lunch.

We went to the D!sney store, lol, one of the ladies came over to DD and said "excuse me, are you a princess?" Lol, DD face was a picture. She nodded and whispered "I'm a queen" :D I told the lady it was her birthday and her name, she said "oh, I found a card with your name on it this morning, I don't know who it's from!" And came back 2 min later with a card to Queen xxx happy birthday from Tinkerbell (she had spotted the doll DD had picked up). How sweet is that?

So I have a very happy 4yr old today!

Ouch just bit my tongue! :(

Kitchen and conservatory tidied and mum is coming over to help prepare a tea party.

Happy Birthday to "Queen Mooette".:D (Queen Miss Moo didn't sound quite right, lol). By 'eck, I'm a whole half-century older than she is!

Got very little sleep again last night, so I'm afraid my brain is only functioning in fits and starts. I despair of a decent night's sleep - I've tried everything - lavender, hop pillows, passiflora tablets, valerian tablets, milky drinks -and still I lie there awake til at least 03:00 nearly every night.

I have at least tidied up my desk in the lounge; we're going to need to put some of the kitchen appliances on it, so it had to be done fairly urgently. I think the kitchen table will be coming into the lounge - it'll have to go in front of the patio door, there's just nowhere else to put it. But we're unlikely to need to use the patio door, we can manage without for a week, and we don't have dogs that week. The micro/combi can then go on the table, and we'll cook our meals in the lounge. I have a single plug-in red-ring too, so that'll come in useful I expect. Only another eleven days til the madness starts.:( I still can't believe I let myself be talked into this!

One major change is that Mr LW expressed a desire for a gas oven, so that's what we're getting. Currently we have a gas hob, an ancient (and very unreliable) built-in electric oven, which will be going with the rest of the carp cupboards and stuff, (as Piggers would say, "flingety-fling") and of course the micro/combi. I've got used to the gas hob, but I've never used a gas oven in my life! I hope it's easy to learn!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Forcing myself to scrub carpets with the dy$on - back and forth, back and forth, back and forth in the hope that it'll pick up all the black hair from Devil Cat and Mrs Dog. I've had to empty it twice and I've only done two rooms, three stairs and the landing. It's going to be a long job - that'll teach me to leave it for a couple of weeks.

We're off to a friends 50th birthday party just across the Tamar (ie Cornwall, fur'n parts, this weekend, staying in a yurt. I can't beleive how much stuff we're going to have to take!

Lamewolf, when my insomnia was at its worst, I invested in an earpiece and a digital radio. Now I can't get to sleep without Radio 4 Extra or the World Service muttering in my ear, although some people find music works for them. What I will say about talk radio is that the more interested you are in hearing the end of the play (or Juliette Stevenson reading Pride and Prejudice), the quicker you'll nod off. As soon as deeply unfunny panel games start, I flick over to the WS. Works every time.

Ionafan, there was discussion on the World at One (at about 1.35pm) today about getting rid of moles.
    Better is good enough.

    Afternoon all :D

Haven't caught up properly so hugs, spoon, vibes, birthday wishes, and sticks to all who want some :D

Lamewolf - I used to have a gas oven in my old house and I miss it so much. I have an electric one now (and an electric hob) and I hate cooking whereas I use to love it :( We have no choice though as its a rented house. DD uses a gas cooker in school and loves it so she struggles with this one as well and actually asked if we could get a gas one fitted while we're decorating! :rotfl:

Today I've done paid stuff which took all morning then had a pasty and cake from the local bakers for lunch :p Then I got this sudden burst of energy so I:
    - Tidied DD's room and reorganised a few bits
    - straightened up my room, put the clean washing away & organised a few bits in there,
    - put clean towels in the bathroom
    - re-jigged some boxes in the cleaning cupboard in the kitchen (replacing old ice-cream tubs that had split with new ones and emptying multiple boxes of the same thing into one box),
    - sorted out the meds/first aid boxes
    - put all the clean tea towels away in the drawer in the sideboard (they've been living on a shelf in the kitchen while we couldn't get to the sideboard due to decorating),
    - chucked out loads of recycling from upstairs (not done since before the summer),
    - emptied the bins,
    - put a wash load on
    - started getting stuff together upstairs to bring down to my desk.

Not sure if its the pain killers I've taken for my hip/knee/back, the can of cola or the caramel doughnut I had for lunch but I'm feeling much better for it and upstairs looks like a house instead of a charity shop back room.

I am now off to do some more & fling another load of washing in! I may not be following the lists but there is a noticeable difference in the house already :D:j:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
