I went to group this morning but didn't weigh. Our consultant had planned 2 sessions for today and next Tuesday to tell all existing members about the new plan and give them their books. Admits that she c*cked it up as apparently new books weren't meant to be released yet.
Overall it's just a bit of a tidy up. We won't do much different if we stick to what we're doing now. These are the main comments/changes:
- main changes are in wording which will obviously be easier for new members who don't know any different
- no Red and Green plans in the books but will remain on website
- syns listings in book has only EE values so looks simpler
- Superfrees are now called Speed Foods (S)
- still recommended to 'fill up on frees'
- FAQs in book say that you 'might' lose without a third of S but slowly
- all symbols are now a single letter so P (Protein), F (Fibre) and c(Calcium)
- a version of Success Express is now inlcuded in the books for faster weightloss called Extra Easy SP
- Extra Easy SP is S (Speed Food) so fruit & veg and P (Protein) like fish, meat and pulses plus 1 HEA and 2 HEBs so low carb?
- Need to check carefully through lists to see if any changes in quantities of HEXs and anything lost/added from other lists
- other news was just about Iceland meals which we've already seen

Cheers Maman, seems like a bit of a non event as you describe. So basically you are to eat 1/3 superfree really or lose slowly! which we already no its just the plan isn't explained properly to people and people focus on the free stuff!
Tbh I will still be glad to get my new back though for starting afresh in the New Year and having something new to read SW wise might help remotivate me after Christmas0 -
So I'm going to try to read my books if I have time and just carry on as normal until I hear wonderful reports of successes on 'new' plan. The biggest change I can see (if I've read it right) is that the new Extra Easy SP has no 'empty' carbs like potatoes/rice/pasta. I suppose many of us suspected that keeping carbs down helped and you can always fill up with things like carrots, swede or pulses.
I've written my final shopping list of fresh stuff so I'm going to have lunch and then brave Aldi and Sainsbury's. DH has developed man flu overnight so no help there then.;) I'm planning to start my 'SW Christmas break' tomorrow night b.e.g with wine syns and a slightly off plan meal.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: JP, beetroot and maybe tunachicken jambalaya (inc. carrots, onions, peas, courgette, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms)
Syns: none planned. I was good last night and resisted the chocs.0 -

That's exactly what I thought lantanna. I've spent more time looking through the book today than I have done in months.0 -
Maman - the Extra Easy SP is already showing on the website under "Recipes & Menus" but comes up with page not found if you click on it! So they're already telling us about the "new plan" but not actually showing anything! Certainly sounds like a bit of a "non-event".
Finally made sorted my menu for today after posting this morning:
B - "porridge pancakes" (porridge mixed with Mullerlight - I used Cherry - left to soak in and then whisk in 2 eggs and sweetner and cook like pancakes. Couldn't get them to set properly so ended up cooking in the pan and then finishing off under the grill. They werea a bit meh but filled a hole!
L - crabstick salad (bought crabsticks when I went shopping as hadn't decided what to have with salad before leaving!)
D - kangaroo burger, beans, chips
Have got some pineapple which needs using up so will have that sometime today to up the SFs a bit.
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - kangaroo burger 1; not sure what else, if anything.

Just about survived Sainsbobs and M&S - never seen Sainsbobs as busy but it is a fab store for getting around. They had crowd control in M&S - it was manic. Was going to treat DS to some of the party strips of crackling they had but sadly none left today. Thought about the belly pork squares - considering there was 18 in box they must have been tiny and total rip off so didn't bother with them. Hubby did put some of the little sparkly macaroons in for me as he said I keep looking at them - really
:rotfl:
Oh just for the record I refused a free Cadburys Heroes choccie whilst standing in Sainsbobs queueMust dash off now to polish my halo :rotfl:
DH is in the kitchen making some leek and potato soup so looking forward to that.
Could really do with some new jeans - have some brand new size 16's still labelled but sadly they aren't manageable yet.Do I really need them enough to warrant another trip out this afternoon? We'll see ................

PS Re the new plan maman - does that mean that carbs are totally banned or just limited quantities. I am quite happy doing what I'm doing now but will just see what the new one has to say for itself. Getting new book next Monday night.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Hiya
Just been out for brunch with friends - not strictly SW, but very enjoyable.
Thanks for the update maman, the new success express sounds good, it might work to do that once or twice a week, or for a few days after going off plan for a while. (Like the next few days!)
Going to Benidorm tomorrow, so Internet access will depend on the hotel's wifi, which was a bit hit and miss last year.
Have a lovely time everyone - enjoy yourselves but don't go mad and don't be diet bores!

Happy to report a 1 lb loss today, I'm pleased with that.
We didn't talk about the new plan at all, it was just weigh and go! Reading above it does sound a bit of a non event. If fruit is still a free food it definately won't be low carb though. Carrots are pretty carbie too, along with most root vegetables. Oh well, the world continues to turn and not much changes
Hope you all have a great Christmas! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

The extra easy SP is the equivalent of Success Express but now it appears in the book to 'power up your weightloss' whereas before it seemed to be more something that consultants offered if you were getting stuck. It has only S ( Speed food which is fruit and veg) and P (Protein which is 'fish, lean meat and poultry, eggs, beans, peas, pulses and meat replacements'). So no potatoes or pasta but you could cheat a bit by having, say, carrot and swede mash. If you wanted to have potatoes you'd have to syn them. That's only the extra easy SP, the 'normal' EE plan is till a third of S (Speed Food) 'where you can' like it's always been and 'make them your first choice between meal'.
I've 'quoted' the bits from the book, the other comments are my own.
I've finished my food shopping too. I did Aldi and Sainsbury. Both were effortless once I'd got a parking space. Plenty of stock in Aldi, and fresh veg arriving by the minute. In Sainsbury's I'd hoped to get half syn sausages 'just in case' anyone fancied a fry up but they didn't have any.Going to Benidorm tomorrow, so Internet access will depend on the hotel's wifi, which was a bit hit and miss last year.

Being a 'diet bore' is always something I've dreaded. I didn't tell anyone (except DH) that I was doing SW until people started to notice. Then people started worrying that I was ill so I just said 'healthy eating' to most and explained SW to a few close friends (especially the fat ones:D). I did have a few comments last week when I was eating fruit and veg from buffets and no cakes but I just said I'd make up for it this week!!
Have a lovely time in Benidorm. My hairdresser lives there, commuting for 4 days here and 3 back in Spain with his Cuban partner. He tells me it has a very nice side and it's not all 'kiss me quick' and legless Brits.:rotfl:0 -
Enjoy Benidorm LL
Well done on your loss retiredlady :T
Thanks for your explanation maman - I think I can see how its going to work.
Just had a lazy tea - Pasta n Sauce with loads of sfs. Going to Mums to do her hair shortly then over to brothers to drop off pressies.
Planning on an easyish day tomorrow but it will probably come and bite me on the b*m.
