Hugs to you Mildredd. Really hard when it's your children being affected. Just because he says he wants more contact does not mean he will get it so hang in there (but we totally understand if you hit the chocolate for a bit!)

Meg, sorry you are still suffering with your mouth and hope you can ingest something other than baileys very soon ;)

And hugs to you too MrsR.

Crabapple~Was it you that got a white sticker? I think they may have made a mistake.Did it give your weight loss?

It's all printed up in blue with 3.5 and congratulations and the SW logo, it's just that the background is plain white not the shiny silver :( Hubby says it probably costs 50-60p a sheet less to print plain stickers (works in the print industry so he knows weird stuff like that!) so it's them saving money maybe. Guess we'll see as stocks diminish, or I might ask my consultant next week.

Oh, and I had such a good day foodwise yesterday, totalled 13 syns, wrote the whole lot down to keep track - fully on plan :D

Hubby is off work today so I asked if we could go to matalan as I would like some new clothes and he is going to get me some for Christmas (only a couple of bits, just to give me some more options!). Now he's suggesting we go to the outlet shopping centre and get some lunch while we are there. Lovely idea but I really want to stay on plan properly this week! He's agreed that if we can't get anything SW friendly we won't eat.

But seriously - there's Costa & another similar shop, pizza express, nandos, don't think there's anywhere I can even get a jacket :(

    Morning all

Just to report back on Christmas lunch yesterday, it was absolutely scrummy and I was so full I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day. Starter was smoked mackerel with horseradish sauce, salad and some brown bread. Main was turkey, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud, a sausage wrapped in bacon and a side dish of veg including boiled potatoes and gravy. I managed all the veg but only had one roast potato and no boiled ones, gave my other roastie to DH. I had sherry trifle for pud, which didn't have a lot of sherry in it luckily as I was driving!

There was a Christmas hat competition, and DH won a bottle a bottle of wine for his hat (I made it but wasn't brave enough to wear it!).

You could have a salad nicoise in Pizza express, which is free apart from the olives (which should be!). Have fun, whatever you do.

    Have a lovely time Denise.

Hugs to anyone struggling, whether it's with SW or the !!!!!! life throws at you. Stay strong, and don't let it grind you down.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Which one is it?

If you're talking about Cheshire Oaks (no idea if you are) there is a Harvester nearby who'll do a steak/chicken breast, baked potato and side. I want to say there is also a Spud U Like where the Harry Ramsdens is.

If not then there is normally something within a short drive, if not in the actual place.

2.5 off for me on Tuesday, missed out on SOTW by half a pound. 3.5 off another sticker (our consultant goes beserk if you say sticker instead of award, hours of fun).

Anyone got any suggestions for something to take to the Christmas party? I was thinking pineapple and cheese (low fat) on sticks.

Think the new year is a good time to start a new thread! We'll need a new thread title - a few weeks to get our thinking caps on!

Thank you - I'll definitely remember to wave to Maman!

Meg you could get a good loss this week with all that soup but think the Baileys might turn things the wrong way:rotfl: Think Shala's right and you should step away from the Baileys!

Pineapple (fresh) and silverskin cocktail onions would be better as they would be free - I personally would avoid pineapple and cheese (I very rarely eat cheese because I can only have it on a Green day because I need my HEA for milk in my tea!

I often make SW chocolate brownies - they go down well as they are only 0.5 syn each if you follow the recipe and have a lovely bitter chocolate taste. I usually make mine in a square tin rather than individual ones and cut them smaller so you can usually have 2-3 squares for 0.5 syn which means just having one at a taster is negligible syns.

Nandos is probably your best bet. Check the syns online the butterfly chicken breast is only 3 syns or something - the rice is very low and you can have salad as well
