For me the Three 123 PAYG is best value for my needs but I have spent the last 2 days trying to register on the 3 site, I have already set up an account but I am unable to add any personal details.
Will my old number port, filled in the online form but as not registered who knows.
My daughter is on GG so was my wife till recently and there have been no problems.
If I continue to have problems with 3 before I have even started then I will be going over to GG as well.0 -
Bear in mind that GG to GG calls are free (in the UK) ... they don't come out of any goodybag allowance. (Which may be a deal-maker for you, if you decide to join GG. Also, get your daughter to arrange a SIM for you if you decide to join ... that way you get £5 airtime credit when you activate, and she gets £5 of payback points).0

Its not really any different from folk hankering after designer bags, shoes, clothes, flash cars etc.
Not everyone necessarily upgrades for the cool factor. I take everything in to account before upgrading.
I just upgraded to a Nokia 1020, not because I want to show it off, but because it's the most practical for my lifestyle and my last phone, a Sony Xperia S was becoming slow and frustrating to use.
The reasons behind my upgrade are:
- I own an Xbox One and have many Microsoft linked accounts and email and it can all be sync'd easier on a WP than Android or Apple, and it works so much better with my Windows 8 PC - I can also message friends who may be on their console etc, it also backs pictures and video's and documents up by default to the cloud service. Useful.
- MS office is free with the phone, which is very useful for me as I use Excel a lot to manage my finances.
- The camera is very, very good on it - I gave my old camera to the missus as she didn't have one.
- It's 32gb, as someone who doesn't drive just yet, the space for music/video storage comes in handy when walking/travelling.
- When with the missus, if we need a Sat Nav, the software on the Nokia is incredibly good, and much better than her TomTom, which need's updating.
- Whilst WP doesn't have the greatest choice of Apps, it's got more than enough for my needs
I also have unlimited Data with my plan, plus a small amount of minutes and unlimited texts, which suits my needs - a similar deal with another provider, minus the unlimited data was actually more expensive at the time (I'm with Three by the way).Professional Data Monkey

I think it depends- I am as about as rural as you can get and my coverage for Giffgaff is way better than Virgin was.0 -
I'm in a rural area and 02 is the only network which we can use at home. Just switched to giff-gaff!0
