I only ever use about 30 texts a month, no calls and no data- and Giffgaff are brilliant. £5 per month, free calls to voicemail.
I had been with Virgin for about 10 years and tried and tried to get them to reduce the cost, to no avail. They wouldn't go below £10 per month which was making the texts very expensive!
Giffgaff very easy to change too and half the price- hurrah!
Would the 321 tariff from Three not be better for you if you are that light of a user? Persuming that Three have a decent signal where you are.0 -

I live in a very rural area, so am limited coverage. That means I am excluded from lots of the super deals
However, the package gives you 300 texts and 1 hour call time, I just don't use all of it.0 -

No reason at all.0 -
Usage profile? Not sure what that means, but for my phone use I use a lot of data.
Minutes and texts are low priority.
Data allowance often seems to be a weak spot on quite a few otherwise good deals. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Love the £10 goody bag myself, went from a contract that was costing an arm and a leg (fool be me!) onto this package and haven't looked back.
Must admit though my phone is a bog standard n0kia (£20 job), no internet, no camera, just does what I wanted it to do which is be a phonePartner is able to text all he likes too so we're both happy.
I used to pay about £40-£50 a monthreceived a nice shiny new phone every year which could dance the cha cha and guide in Earth bound satellites, but one day thought: "Do I really need this?"
Answer: Not really
Had to use their customer care once when I lost my phone, was a simple number transfer and it went smoothly.
Maybe I just got lucky?
Generally though no problems and good coverage :beer:0 -
I'm pretty much the same as mothfilledwallet. Don't need anything exciting, just a phone for the car in case I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere (quite possible) or general texts etc. I don't think (but am not sure) that you can get any lower than £5 a month payment plan, so I'm pretty pleased with it.
I used the internet connection on my phone once, so data isn't a consideration.
I think if you are a very low user then giffgaff are very good.0
